🇻🇪 A great experience in my life 🇻🇪

Hace 4 años en el 2017 me eligieron para entrenar en la preselección de Venezuela, para mí fue una gran sorpresa que me llamarán para ganarme un lugar en el equipo de la selección de Venezuela.

Four years ago in 2017 I was chosen to train in the preselection of Venezuela, for me it was a big surprise to be called to earn a place in the team of the Venezuelan national team.

Comencé a entrenar para mejorar mi condición física, me enfoque en consentrarme en mi objetivo, me motive a mejorar completamente, mi entrenador me mandaba a correr diariamente, me decía que tenía que estar en buena condición física para rendir en cada entrenamiento.

I started training to improve my physical condition, I focused on concentrating on my goal, I was motivated to improve completely, my coach sent me to run daily, he told me that I had to be in good physical condition to perform in every training.

Llegó el día que tenía que viajar a Caracas a la preselección a comenzar a entrenar, llegamos días antes porque teníamos un campeonato Nacional Cadete, el cual clasificación en primer lugar, para luego jugar la final en otra fase.

The day came that I had to travel to Caracas to the preselection to start training, we arrived days before because we had a National Cadet Championship, which I classified in first place, and then play the final in another phase.

Ya habían llegado casi todas las niñas que iban a participar en los entrenamientos, la noche antes de el primer entrenamiento, me sentía un poco nerviosa y asustada, pero le pedí ayuda a Dios que me diera fuerzas para luchar por ese lugar en esa selección, amaneció y nos levantaron a las 4 de la mañana, así mucho frío y todo están muy oscuro, nos pusieron hacer una prueba de resistencia, la cual tendríamos que correr 20 vueltas, solo 5 completaron esa prueba, yo era una de esas 5 niñas que la completaron, esas vueltas fueron las más casada en mi vida, tenía mucho frío y eso me cansaba más de lo normal.

Almost all the girls who were going to participate in the training had already arrived, the night before the first training, I felt a little nervous and scared, but I asked God for help to give me strength to fight for that place in that selection, it dawned and they woke us up at 4 am, It was very cold and everything was very dark, they put us to do an endurance test, which we had to run 20 laps, only 5 completed that test, I was one of those 5 girls who completed it, those laps were the hardest in my life, I was very cold and that made me more tired than usual.

Continúe así durante esa semana, al terminar la primera semana fue que comenzaron a sacar niñas que no tenían las condiciones que se requerían para estar esa preselección, yo avance en cada semana que pasó, poco a poco quedaban menos niñas y iba poniendo más difícil las cosas.

At the end of the first week, they began to take out girls who did not have the conditions required to be in that preselection, I advanced in each week that passed, little by little there were fewer girls left and I was making things more difficult.

Nos llegó el día de poder jugar como equipo contra unas mujeres mayores, la mayoría de ellas tenían más 25 años y nosotras teníamos 14 años, en ese momento antes del juego, me enfoque a que daría el todo por el todo, y así fue, me motive y jugué como nunca lo había hecho, mi entrenador se sentía orgulloso de mi y me dijo yo sabía que ese talento estaba en ti.

The day came when we could play as a team against some older women, most of them were over 25 years old and we were 14 years old, at that time before the game, I focused that I would give everything for everything, and so it was, I was motivated and I played like I had never done, my coach was proud of me and told me I knew that talent was in you.

Seguí jugando así, y me había ganado un lugar en esa selección, están muy emocionada y feliz, que le dí la noticia a mis padres, me dijeron que estaba orgullosa de mi, eso me dio fuerzas para seguir jugando como lo hacía.

I kept playing like that, and I had earned a place in that selection, I was so excited and happy, I told my parents the news, they told me that I was proud of me, that gave me strength to keep playing like I did.

Luego de tener las 12 jugadoras que irían a Popayán Colombia, a representar a nuestro país Venezuela en el Sudamericano infantil U14.

After having the 12 players that would go to Popayán Colombia, to represent our country Venezuela in the South American U14 children.

Días antes del viaje, nos entregaron los uniformes, la ropa de presentación, nos dieron un gran discurso de motivación para representar a nuestro país.

Days before the trip, they gave us the uniforms, the presentation clothes, they gave us a great motivational speech to represent our country.

Un gran día para mi vida, llegó el día en que teníamos que ponernos nuestra ropa de presentación, ponerme esa ropa me hizo sentirme orgullosa, comenzamos a montar nuestras maletas a el autobús, nos montamos en el y estába un poco nerviosa, porque era la primera vez que viajaba a otro país.

A great day for my life, the day came when we had to put on our presentation clothes, putting on those clothes made me feel proud, we began to assemble our bags to the bus, we got on the bus and I was a little nervous, because it was the first time I traveled to another country.

Llegamos a Colombia y de donde estábamos era muy lejos de Popayán, tuvimos que tomar 2 aviones para poder llegar,
Llegamos al hotel y todo se veía maravilloso, se sentía incleible como yo había llegando tan lejos.

We arrived in Colombia and from where we were it was very far from Popayan, we had to take 2 planes to get there,

We arrived at the hotel and everything looked wonderful, it felt incredible how I had come so far.

El primer partido fue un poco difícil para mi, durante los primeros periodos del juego, fue un poco difícil jugar, porque era primera vez que jugaba con un poco de anestesia en mis rodillas, porque tengo problema en la rotula, y eso me ayudaba a calmar los dolores, había culminado los dos primeros periodos, estábamos en mitad de tiempo, me encerré en el baño y me decía a mí misma que me pasaba, me enfoque y me decidí a jugar como nunca, y así fue que lo hice, ganamos ese partido contra Ecuador.

The first game was a little difficult for me, during the first periods of the game, it was a little difficult to play, because it was the first time I played with a little anesthesia in my knees, because I have a problem in the patella, and that helped me to calm the pain, I had finished the first two periods, we were in half time, I locked myself in the bathroom and told myself what was wrong, I focused and I decided to play like never before, and so I did, we won that game against Ecuador.

Pase unos días maravillosos en Popayán, bueno llegó el día de la final y quedamos en quinto lugar, me sentí orgullosa, porque eso no lo hacía cualquier, ame cada minuto y segundo que sude y luche por ganarme ese lugar en esa selección, di el todo por el todo, para estar orgullosa de mi misma, porque contaba con el apoyo de mis padres.

I spent a few wonderful days in Popayán, well the day of the final came and we were in fifth place, I felt proud, because not just anyone could do that, I loved every minute and second that I sweated and fought to earn that place in that selection, I gave everything for everything, to be proud of myself, because I had the support of my parents.

Le doy gracias a Dios por darme tan linda experiencia en mi vida, y sigo soñando que lograré más experiencias así, también le doy gracias por darme un gran entrenador y sobre todo por darme unos maravillosos padres, que me dieron el apoyo a pesar de las dificultades.

I thank God for giving me such a beautiful experience in my life, and I keep dreaming that I will achieve more experiences like that, I also thank Him for giving me a great coach and above all for giving me wonderful parents, who gave me support despite the difficulties.

Soñé con ese momento en mi vida y se cumplió, porque luche por cumplir mis sueños, y sigo luchando por ellos, se que no es fácil, pero tan poco en difícil lograr las cosas en esta vida, hay que tener fe y constancia para poder lograr tus sueños.

I dreamed of that moment in my life and it came true, because I fought to fulfill my dreams, and I continue to fight for them, I know it is not easy, but so little in difficult to achieve things in this life, you have to have faith and perseverance to achieve your dreams.
