Estamos hablando de un Pivot que esta teniendo una eficiencia en su juego de 31.87 de acuerdo al PER de la NBA, esto lo coloca en la segunda posición en ese renglón y sus números abalan totalmente eso por que realmente esta teniendo una temporada con números históricos para el en su juego. Joel Embiid esta promediando su registro de puntos mas alto, igualmente en asistencias y por si fuera poco esta perdiendo menos la pelota este año que en todas sus temporadas anteriores que no es nada menor por dejar pasar.

Joel Embiid desde que llego a la liga se estuvo hablando de que podía dar estos rendimientos, quizás sus primeras temporadas estuvieron limitadas por lesiones, pero ya llego el momento de lucir todo su talento y ahora mismo cuando esta en cancha parece imponente antes sus defensores. Sus contribuciones para el equipo son en todos los renglones, literalmente esta cargando a los 76ers y para mi tiene todo lo necesario para poder dominar la liga.

Estamos hablando de un equipo que esta compitiendo por terminar primero, así que claramente es un contendiente al titulo de MVP muy fuerte, además que esta temporada a tenido que asumir mas rol por la ausencia de Ben Simmons y como pueden ver no a sido notable para nada la ausencia de este jugador con el gran rendimiento del Pivot Embiid.

Para mi ahora mismo es el candidato mas fuerte, aunque todavía queda mucha temporada me alegro demasiado que los Pivot nuevamente se estén empezando a notar, ya que el año pasado el MVP fue para Nikola Jokic otro Pivot y este año Joel Embiid esta fuerte para conseguirlo.

Si no quieren conceder el triple entonces tendrán que dejarlo trabajar en la pintura, lo cual no esta nada fácil para ningún defensor y lo mas probable es que termine sacando ventaja de ese pareo anotando o consiguiendo la falta para luego anotar los tiros libres.

Yo me atrevo a decir que este año Embiid sera el jugador mas Valioso de la temporada, va confirmar su estatus de hombre grande dominador y eso va luego hacer que los rivales le tengan mas respeto e incluso los árbitros van a comenzar a dejarlo jugar un poco mas, aunque eso es lamentable que haya preferencias con las estrellas, pues no es un dato menor y al final termina siendo de gran complemento con todas las cualidades que posee Joel Embiid para que sea el jugador dominante de la liga.

Los hombres grandes deben dominar en la pintura, ese a sido el lema durante largos años en la NBA, luego llego la temporada de triples con Stephen Curry que cambio por completo absolutamente todo, pero ahora desde mi punto de vista estoy observando que nuevamente se esta buscando dominar mas en la pintura que simplemente buscar mas de 30 tiros de larga distancia durante todo el encuentro y esto es muy positivo para la liga que se estaba volviendo un poco monótona en donde quien encesta mas triples ganaba.

Quiero decir que ya es una combinación de ambos mundos, priorizar la pintura pero sabiendo que también hay que anotar el triple, pero no recurrir a el todo el tiempo y esto esta creando mas opciones a que veamos nuevamente a hombres grandes como Vucevic luciendo en Chicago, Deandre Ayton en Suns, Jokic, Adebayo, Sabonis y por supuesto de quien estoy hablando hoy Joel Embiid.

Para mi esto era lo que tenia que suceder, no podemos esperar que un Joel Embiid te haga 5 triples por noches para poder contribuir, lo que se tiene que buscar hacer es que haga su juego en la pintura, una vez este cerrada entonces si buscar unos 2 o 3 triples por noches como esta lanzando horita mismo en la temporada y así mantener ese buen balance donde los hombres grandes impactan mucho mas. Mientras Embiid pueda lanzar menos de larga distancia, pero buscar mas su juego interno, mejor le va ir a su equipo y toda la plantilla se va gozar de eso por que se abren los espacios. Con todo esto dicho termino mi análisis diciendo que los hombres grandes van a volver de a poco a tomar ese rol protagónico en la liga y ya no vamos a estar viendo tantos triples en la NBA.
