Recently, I have been immersed in a multitude of activities beyond just posting, all of which are geared towards promoting community building. In the past week alone, I have participated in more than six online meetings using various communication platforms such as Zoom, Telegram, WhatsApp, and regular phone calls.
These meetings are focused on advancing the Hive Empowers Communities project, which advocates for the cause of Hive in Ghana. In addition to these off-chain engagements, I also dedicate a significant amount of time to on-chain activities such as commenting, curating, and posting.
Why am I saying all of this? It's because I want to explain why some people don't want to be part of Hive, regardless of its benefits. To thrive on Hive, you need to engage in community building, which takes up a lot of your time and effort. You may not realize the amount of effort others put in every day to earn significant upvotes if you only post content and wait for curators to notice it.
Those who are actively engaged on Hive can relate to what I'm saying. While it can be time-consuming, the effort invested is worth it because of the valuable returns. Some of us, like myself, even sleep with our laptops or phones in hand while trying hard to keep up with daily engagements. There are curators who dedicate a significant amount of time to assign value to deserving posts. It could be a daunting task to go about reading, posting, leaving comments, voting, and reblogging.
Another aspect that requires a significant amount of time is ensuring the quality of the content you produce, and delivering posts that readers will find valuable. Many of us who have been on Hive for some time have become accustomed to this way of life, treating it like a normal daily work activity and giving it our attention every day.
However, some people may find it challenging to keep up with Hive when they consider the maximum amount of time that they need to invest on a daily basis. Considering how rewarding the Hive experience can be for individuals, I believe it's better to invest the time required on Hive rather than on something that may not yield value for your time spent.
In my opinion, Hive is the perfect place for those willing to invest their time and effort. Everything that makes Hive unique can be summed up in one word: "VALUE." Hive values its users, their presence, their time, and their effort. All these inputs from users add value to Hive. Without active participation from users, there would be dormant accounts and no community engagement or support.
Without the efforts and commitment of members in staking on Hive, Hive would hold no value; there would be nothing to inspire anyone to invest more in Hive.To fully commit to Hive, one must invest their time, which is a valuable resource for all of us. Those who invest their time and effort into Hive receive value in return. Hive is the ideal place for those who are willing to dedicate themselves to community building. It is a place where time and effort are highly valued, and users are rewarded accordingly.
