Hello friends and Hivians. Here we are it's 1 August and couple of things I will share and do today. First off happy 4th birthday to the Loving Hive Community and happy #HPUD to all. So today I first will share what was the first moment I fell in love with Hive ❤️ Than will follow it up with something many of us do is participate in Hive Power Up Day.
So there is an ongoing initiative going on in the Loving Hive Community headed by . It's an opportunity to tell your story about when you first fell in love with Hive. To check out his post about it click here. I now take this opportunity to invite 3 friends to this initiative and they are:
and
. I was invited by
to take on this initiative.
It didn't take long to really appreciate this platform. I can remember writing my introduction article and receiving so much encouragement. Not only just all the welcomes but lots of useful information was provided to me. Some I knew from a previous platform that I use to blog in. I'd say I got my first butterflies for Hive from participating in my first Hive Power Up Day.
I found it very interesting to see so many people writing articles on the first day of the month. I also got involved in the competitions that were held on that particular day. Some were intiatives held on the chain while others were communities offering something through Dischord. They really helped me build my Hive Power starting out as a little fish. Getting rewards, assigned votes, and hive delegations really made it a no brainer to grow my HP share here. I also had three or four generous users that powered me up early on in my Hive journey.
I can't go on without mentioning two particular contests on Hive Power Up Day. The first I will mention is the Power of Three. Three lovely ladies made up this initiative and they are all part of the Silver Bloggers Community as well. A community I was a little late joining but so glad I did. There hard work aimed to encourage new users on the Hive platform to power up on HPUD. I was very honored to be one of the authors who received 100 HP delegations from each them, not just for one month but two months consecutively.
The other HPUD initiative was headed by and some other behind the scenes users. This was a competition that rewarded users who powered up the most hive based on their account percentage on HPUD with just one exception, you had to have a reputation level under 70. The reward pool contained so many prizes and so many users were involved in gifting them. I think I almost always finished somewhere between the numbers that gave rewards. A few times I finished up towards the top.
Both of these intiatives really started my love for Hive. I became friends with some of the contestants as well so it not only helped with my HP stake it gave me a few more connections. I quickly noticed on the platform through engaging there are many different cultures, users from anywhere imaginable, people of all ages, and a good mix of gender. All of this has no bearing on the respect between users which really is remarkable. What's not to love ❤️ about that. It's too bad these principles can't be applied throughout the globe between every country outside the chain. So there you have it I found my love for Hive through HPUD and since my first power up I haven't missed a single one.
Here we are it's HPUD and I again will be showing my love yet again to Hive by powering up 200 hive. But that's not all I'm going to do. I have also decided to power up two new users. Showing them some love in hopes that they will have the same love for Hive that I have.
With my power up today I'm a bit over 200 HP away from reaching 5K which should most likely happen by the next HPUD. Hopefully by years end I will reach 6K. Also this month I completed HPUM for the third consecutive month. It's something fun & challenging and I'm happy to reach this achievement again. One last thing is I now hold a reputation of 70. It seemed I was at 69 for what seemed like forever.
Well all things must come to an end and that's all I have for you today. Take care, stay safe and enjoy the rest of your week. Until next time!
