Seriously guys, I mean it snuck up on me! π³
When I got the notification from and then
sent me a Congratulations on becoming a dolphin I literally was like
oh wow, I guess I am a dolphin now. π
Once upon a time I was posting five days a week and keeping track of my rise to dolphinhood.
The tracking stopped once I realized I could only post two or three times per week. I knew it would take way longer to get to my goal so it was just easier letting things happen as they happen.
I got so busy working behind the scenes and picking up curation projects that I totally forgot about the goal and just road the waves of minnowhood like before.
I must admit it still is an amazing accomplishment for me.
Knowing that everything Iβve earned here has been organically obtained through content creation and curation from over the last five years. Iβve never had my own monies to invest in Hive so my time and efforts have done that for me. π
Whoa saying five years is like so crazy! To know that Iβve been around here getting to know folks, learning and growing for that long is just so surreal. I have never been apart of a platform for this long (tbh other than Fakebook this is the only other one Iβve been on lol).
Normally Iβd go through and name all the folks here who have had an impact on me and who have been my longtime supporters. That list has grown so much that Iβm really afraid to miss someone so I wonβt do it this time.
I certainly didnβt get here on my own and I owe that to each one of you who has helped me get here. Thank you for always supporting my work and leaving me kind encouraging feedback. π
Business as usual. I am so blessed and grateful to be apart of and working in the NeedleWorkMonday Community, OCD Community, Stock Images Community and now recently joining in to help with the new newbie initiative for the !
I plan to continue helping to contribute to the goals and visions of these initiatives and make myself available as much as possible.
My plate is pretty full right now so I donβt plan on volunteering or agreeing to do more at the moment. I have to stay realistic and make sure I have time for RL and tend to the needs of my family which comes first always.
I also plan to keep up with my posting schedule as I still love creating content. My focus has been geared toward making helpful posts that other Hivizens can use:

and also sharing my garden journal:
Iβm sure Iβll do other topics in between but those are my main go toβs right now.
Hmmmm, I guesstimate Iβll reach orca status in the year 2043. π
Donβt even ask me about whale status, that is not one of my goals as itβs way too far beyond my reach.
Iβd be quite enthused and satisfied if I could just live to be an orca. Besides, Hive will still be here in 22 years right? π
Well anyhoo itβs been a fun ride and Iβm looking forward to all of the adventures that await!
The dolphin in the cover photo was drawn by my father. He used to draw us anything we asked for when we were youngsters. Nowadays he just doesnβt feel it as much and we arenβt always there to ask him for a drawing.
I wanted him to be apart of this milestone of mine so I thought itβd be nice to ask him. He immediately got a pencil and paper and got to work. It was more special having him do it than finding an image online. Oh and I did the coloring with a gray colored pencil. π€
Thank you for taking a moment to read and partake in my award ceremony. π
It means a lot that you are here! π
Milestones like these help me stay motivated and to look forward to accomplishing more. Itβs also fun to look back on where you came from and how you reached your current position.
