Good day to everyone and a Happy Sunday. I want to say thank you to for the opportunity to celebrate our communities or favorite...
So far on Hive, I have dabbled in a few communities but just one has struck a record in my heart. It's there to stay and I don't feel good when I don't participate one way or another.
I'm talking about Theinkwell. When I stumbled across the inkwell, it was like an everyday thing. Someone (I can't remember who) persuaded me to write in the Inkwell but before that, I'd been coming across various post and amazing short stories.
I've always been a writer. I've written a handful number of books and done a few jobs both fiction and nonfiction.
I was putting off writing in the Inkwell for majorly two reasons. One, I was scared. Coming onboard the first time I didn't know what to expect of Hive and so I was very reserved and cautious but I learned to change. Two, I didn't know if I could write short stories. I've always been into novels, be it reading or writing and never had to begin and end a story in less than 1,500words. So it was kind of a challenge but I pulled through.
I love the Inkwell for how much value they put on literature. Well, on creative writing. I like the rules and the engagement. It gives great joy when you write a story from the bottom of your heart and have people leave insightful and encouraging comments. That alone is a great incentive for me personally because it leaves me eager for the next prompt.
They are also great curators of quality works and their weekly Newsletters acknowledge active people in the community.
If you're looking for a fiction based community with great administration, wonderful Engagement (they lovingly rebuke when you make a mistake as well as applaud for a job well done) and interaction, you can check out Theinkwell community.
I do not know if they are on Discord or Telegram (I have looked for a link) but you can find them on Twitter
