La Caracas Blockchain Week del año 2022 fue el punto de arranque de un año cargado de experiencias maravillosas, en un camino para representar a nuestro ecosistema ante agentes externos y del cual muchos socios propietarios de la comunidad han aportado. Principalmente, sin la ayuda de los fondos de financiamiento de Hive account@valueplan, jamás habríamos podido llevar solos el trabajo y las responsabilidades que conlleva tal esfuerzo. A pocas horas de abordar otra nueva aventura llamada LatBitConf que nos llevará a Buenos Aires, Argentina, queremos contar una historia.

Al final de ésta publicación conseguirán un enlace que los llevará a leer parte de los frutos cosechados en éste último año. La Caracas Blockchain Week 2023 fue el escenario donde renovaríamos un compromiso con nosotros mismos: hacer el mayor esfuerzo posible para representar a HIVE con la energía y orgullo de ser dueños. Lo lindo de pertenecer a una comunidad propietaria es que no trabajas para nadie salvo para hacer crecer vuestra inversión, porque cada hivers es -en esencia- un propietario (jamás un creador de contenidos). Así las cosas, Hive account@yonathang se puso en contacto conmigo para formar parte de uno de los equipos.

Caracas Blockchain Week 2022 was the starting point of a year full of wonderful experiences, on a path to represent our ecosystem to external agents and of which many community-owned partners have contributed. Mainly, without the help of Hive account@valueplan's funding funds, we would never have been able to carry the work and responsibilities that come with such an effort alone. Just hours away from tackling another new adventure called LatBitConf that will take us to Buenos Aires, Argentina, we want to tell a story.

At the end of this publication you will get a link that will take you to read part of the fruits harvested in this last year. Caracas Blockchain Week 2023 was the scenario where we would renew a commitment with ourselves: to do our best to represent HIVE with the energy and pride of being owners. The nice thing about belonging to a proprietary community is that you don't work for anyone except to make your investment grow, because each hivers is -in essence- an owner (never a content creator). So, Hive account@yonathang contacted me to be part of one of the teams.

Algo que fue radical y se notó para ésta versión del evento respecto de la pasada es que hubo mucho más hivers involucrados. Ésto sucedió por dos razones: el aprendizaje obtenido desde la experiencia acumulada en pretéritos patrocinios y el haber sido rebasados por el público el año pasado, cuando mucha más gente de la prevista asistió a los espacios de la Torre B.O.D. Los mismos organizadores escogieron un sitio con mucho más espacio para la versión de éste año: la Universidad Católica Andrés Bello en Caracas, Venezuela. Dicho esto, ya el espacio no fue un problema.

Los organizadores de parte de HIVE dividieron los esfuerzos de muchos más brazos en equipos multidisciplinarios. Uno de esos equipos fue bautizado con el nombre de: Networking Externo, donde fui a parar como integrante. Nuestra responsabilidad eran las conexiones hacia afuera. La cara de HIVE para conectar con el interés que causaremos. Por supuesto, cada hiver tenía también esa misma responsabilidad, pero se intentó delimitar funciones para entregar un esfuerzo coordinado y sacar provecho de habilidades, además de talentos de cada socio.

Something that was radical and was noticed for this version of the event compared to the last one is that there were much more hivers involved. This happened for two reasons: the learning gained from the experience accumulated in previous sponsorships and having been overwhelmed by the public last year, when many more people than expected attended the spaces of the Torre B.O.D. The same organizers chose a site with much more space for this year's version: the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Caracas, Venezuela. That said, space was no longer an issue.

The organizers on behalf of HIVE divided the efforts of many more arms into multidisciplinary teams. One of those teams was baptized with the name of: External Networking, where I ended up as a member. Our responsibility was outward connections. The face of HIVE to connect with the interest we would cause. Of course, each hiver also had the same responsibility, but we tried to delimit functions to deliver a coordinated effort and take advantage of the skills and talents of each partner.

Una de las cosas que ayudó mucho para conectar con los medios fue la presencia de Hive account@starkerz en Caracas. Por supuesto, a la Caracas Blockchain Week vinieron muchos invitados internacionales, pero ningún angloparlante de origen europeo. Y eso llamó la atención puertas afuera porque son pocos quienes se atreven a venir a nuestro país, dada la falsa narrativa respecto a la seguridad. Como viajero que hemos sido, sabemos que estás tan seguro en cualquier país, como te permitas seguir recomendaciones de quienes son locales. Punto. Él ya referirá la experiencia de estar en Venezuela. Otra percepción que deja su visita entre los hivers hispanos es que la mirada de la gobernanza no puede seguir siendo indiferente al trabajo que hemos venido haciendo todos los hispanohablantes.

Así las cosas, el día antes de viajar a Caracas, me puse en contacto con Juan Abad de CoinTelegraph y con Alejandro Gil de Cripto Tendencia. Ambos son medios emplazados en la Argentina, pero quienes nombro, son sus corresponsales en Venezuela. La idea era saber si podía establecer contacto con ellos para conseguirnos en los espacios del evento, con el fin de dar a conocer los últimos esfuerzos o nuevas noticias de lo que se viene en HIVE, además de la visión sobre la Web3 que tiene nuestro ecosistema.

One of the things that helped a lot to connect with the media was the presence of Hive account@starkerz in Caracas. Of course, many international guests came to Caracas Blockchain Week, but no English speakers of European origin. And that drew attention out of doors because there are few who dare to come to our country, given the false narrative regarding security. As a traveler ourselves, we know that you are only as safe in any country as you allow yourself to follow recommendations from locals. Period. Another perception that his visit leaves among Hispanic hivers is that the look of governance can no longer be indifferent to the work that all Spanish speakers have been doing.

The day before traveling to Caracas, I got in touch with Juan Abad from CoinTelegraph and Alejandro Gil from Cripto Tendencia. Both are media based in Argentina, but the ones I am naming are their correspondents in Venezuela. The idea was to know if I could establish contact with them to get us in the spaces of the event, in order to publicize the latest efforts or new news of what is coming in HIVE, in addition to the vision on the Web3 that our ecosystem has.

El día 27 de Octubre nos correspondió el primer turno de networking y el evento comenzó con una media hora de retraso dado lo tarde que se apersonaron los demás proyectos. HIVE era el único con su gente completa. En el transcurso del día estuvimos hablando con mucha gente haciendo networking, pero Alejandro Gil solo pudo atender a éste servidor el 28 de Octubre, dado que se encontraba reseñando otros proyectos y en general, haciendo contenido respecto de las charlas desarrolladas por los sponsors. Nos sentamos en un banco en los jardines de la Universidad y acá está el producto de la entrevista.

La Web3 vibra hoy día como nunca. A pesar del Bear Market, los proyectos no dejan de sembrar para recoger en tiempos mejores. La ventaja que tenemos es inmensa respecto a valor, tecnología y comunidad. Nunca antes en la historia de la cripto-esfera, proyecto alguno ha estado en tan buena posición como en la que nos encontramos imbuidos. La comunidad propietaria global se yergue como una solución de empoderamiento y libertad, para quienes tienen las agallas de pagar el precio por un futuro mejor. Y ese futuro se encuentra a la vuelta de la esquina. No lo duden ni por un segundo.

On October 27th we had the first networking shift and the event started with a half hour delay given the late arrival of other projects. HIVE was the only one with a full staff.
