Mi historia con Hive comienza 6 días después del nacimiento de la blockchain, y desde entonces ha sido un camino de aprendizaje y mucho estudio. También han habido muchos momentos en los que he tenido la oportunidad de compartir con otros miembros de Hive y que sin duda hoy por hoy, lo que soy ha sido moldeado por la blockchain, incluso filosoficamente hablando he repensado mi actuar como amante de la filosofía y he volcado en gran medida atención, lecturas, disertaciones y esfuerzos en pro de entender y al mismo tiempo edificar lo que significa la filosofía blockchain. Pero, basta de preámbulos aburridos y vayamos al meollo de esta publicación.
Pensar en un solo momento inspirador en mi historia de Hive es un poco difícil, han sido muchos momentos especiales, pero, creo que el más desafiante de todos ha sido también el más inspirador y que significo mucho para mí, lo que soy y también sobre mi quehacer en el mundo blockchian. Hablo de mi presentación como ponente en la última edición de la Caracas Blockchain Week en el 2023, donde tuve la oportunidad de presentar una charla sobre filosofía y Hive. Ponencia que titulé:
Hive, la experiencia de lo imposible

Debo decir que esta experiencia no pudo ser posible sin la comunidad, y eso es más significativo de lo que puedes imaginar porque siempre podemos hablar de lo importante de la comunidad para un proyecto, pero, no lo haces del todo consciente hasta que realmente la comunidad apoya una causa común, imponiendose toda una fuerza colectiva que sin lugar a dudas marca hitos más allá de las fronteras virtuales.
Volviendo a lo que significó esa ponencia para mí, debo confesar que fue hacer un sueño realidad por un par de razones, la primera era poder expresar algunas de mis ideas sobre lo que la blockchain implica filosoficamente hablando y que pude dar una conferencia aunque haya sido breve, en el aula magna de mi Alma Mater, la Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB).
¿Que si fue un reto? Debo decir que mucho, y quizá no tanto por el asunto del contenido puesto que es algo que me es afín y que he sido yo quien elaboro la idea o el concepto de la presentación y su contenido, sino lo que representaba un profundo reto era estar de píe en un enorme auditorio con no sé cuantas personas presentes y aun más saber que estaría siendo grabado. Y aunque he hecho un curso de locución y oratoria, una cosa es estar en una cabina de radio grabando y otra estar en en un escenario.
Afortunadamente todo salio estupendo, o eso es lo que me ha parecido y tras vivir ese momento, debo decir que se agudizó el compromiso con la blockchain a nivel reflexivo, además de aumentar mi compromiso con la comunidad de Hive.
Quiero terminar este breve recuento de ese momento inspirador volviendo a dar las gracias a todos los que hicieron posible ese momento. My story with Hive begins 6 days after the birth of the blockchain, and since then it has been a path of learning and much study. There have also been many moments in which I have had the opportunity to share with other members of Hive and without a doubt today, what I am has been shaped by the blockchain, even philosophically speaking I have rethought my actions as a lover of philosophy and I have largely turned my attention, readings, dissertations and efforts in order to understand and at the same time build what the blockchain philosophy means. But, enough of boring preambles and let's get to the heart of this post.
Thinking of a single inspiring moment in my Hive history is a bit difficult, there have been many special moments, but, I think the most challenging of them all has also been the most inspiring and one that means a lot to me, who I am and also about what I do in the blockchian world. I am talking about my presentation as a speaker at the last edition of the Caracas Blockchain Week in 2023, where I had the opportunity to present a talk about philosophy and Hive. I must say that this experience could not have been possible without the community, and that is more significant than you can imagine because we can always talk about how important the community is for a project, but, you don't become fully aware of it until the community really supports a common cause, imposing a collective force that undoubtedly marks milestones beyond the virtual borders.
Returning to what that lecture meant to me, I must confess that it was a dream come true for a couple of reasons, the first was to be able to express some of my ideas about what the blockchain implies philosophically speaking and that I could give a lecture even if it was brief, in the auditorium of my Alma Mater, the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB).
Was it a challenge? I must say that it was a lot, and maybe not so much because of the content, since it is something that is close to my heart and I have been the one who developed the idea or the concept of the presentation and its content, but what represented a deep challenge was to stand up in a huge auditorium with I don't know how many people present and even more knowing that I would be being recorded. And although I have taken a course in speech and public speaking, it is one thing to be in a radio booth recording and another to be on a stage.
Fortunately everything went great, or so it seemed to me and after living that moment, I must say that it sharpened the commitment to the blockchain at a reflective level, in addition to increasing my commitment to the Hive community.
I would like to end this brief account of that inspiring moment by once again thanking everyone who made that moment possible.
