Human contact first! Never drop that chance... It's the best verification ever because humans have 5 senses (some have 6, LOL)! Those are a lot more "scanners" than just reading text on a chain or even seeing or hearing videos on the web.

Either way, sometimes it's good to (this is my way) investigate a little bit behind the scenes before reacting, as our opinion gets shaped by how much information we receive. And that, as a consequence, gets us more experience on how we react to things.
