The one and only username @ hopestylist is 2 years on the hive blockchain! So niceeee.... Well I'm just so super excited right now so don't mind me, I mean you should mind me, I'm a year older on the chain, hehe. It has been a memorable experience for me for these past two years engaging with the blockchain and my experience is one that has inspired not just myself but do many other users that I don't even know of.
I remember when I started two years ago I was still struggling a little to know how it all works here, how to create something beautiful that worth someone's time and effort to read through and also how to get more support so as to grow. I was not in a haste anyways, I wanted to give myself time to learn it all and not rush into anything and I do think that helped me a whole lot to where I am today.
Back then I remembered how strange so many terms sounded to me and how much I've learned about them to a great length. Now I know what it means to be of high reputation or even a low reputation which I didn't know back then. Now I know what the benefits of upvoting good contents, engage more on the blogs of different users and also in different communities. All of these things and more are what I've learnt over these past two years of my stay on the platform.
I remember just like everyone, I started with the reputation 25 which happens to be the reputation for every first timer on the hive blockchain. Now I'm at reputation 70+ which is just a good growth for anyone that started two years ago. How I got to this point is something that amazes me because back then I was just a novice of how so many things worked here. My journey really started when I became a part of the newbies initiative by .
The newbies initiative was introduced to Hive for the sake of those who are finding it hard to understand how most things work on the hive blockchain and that was how I got to learn so many things and also how I got to know where to go whenever I needed an explanation to something that I'm finding hard to understand. The initiative has different lessons taught and after every lecture, newbies will be given a task to see if the lessons taught were understood properly.
So if you know you are a newbie finding it hard to understand what's going on here, I'd advise you to check out the different blogs by as that account post different lessons that will help you understand the different aspects of hive and you can also leave a question if you have any and you will definitely get a response from someone. Fast forward to now, all of those tasks that were given and the little research I made on my own were the things that propelled me to where I am now.
Since two years on the blockchain, I've made over 40k comments and I've got over 30k replies. My hive power have grew to 4k hive power, I've also made over 600 posts and I do know I've used some hive to settle some personal bills offchain as well. If there was one thing I tried so hard to avoid, it was me powering down my Hive no matter. I had the thoughts of powering down though because I needed a new device since my device was already getting bad but somehow I was given a phone by someone, all I had to do was made some repairs.
I still have the plans of getting a new device but I will have to make sure to save little by little towards it so even when I take some hive for that purpose it won't affect my hive power. And aside my hive power, I also got to know about the leofinance community now known as the Inleo frontend/community and I became a part of it. Now I have about 2k Leo tokens staked which is not big but it is something because it took me so long to know what the community was all about.
I've also experienced so many growth in the past two years but then I also had some challenges but my greatest challenge was Time. I know I would have grown more than this if I had more time but then I do think that it is still the best growth anyone would wish for. I hope that even in this new age on the hive blockchain, I hope to do better and greater things for the blockchain. There is so much to do and I'm just going to keep thinking of the best ways to help out but for now, my major goal is to promote hive as much as I can so others can also get to know what we do here and be a part of it.
Happy hive birthday to me once again and to everyone who is now 2 years on the blockchain or more 🥳🥳. Thank you all so very much for your unending support and most especially to for the encouragement all the time. By the way, don't forget to renew your proposal https://peakd.com/me/proposals/248 with them, go and support the hivebuzz team because they are doing incredibly well and I believe you agree with me.
Until next time, stay AWESOME and JIGGY!!!
