Good day everyone! How was your week so far? If you ask me, it's been a tough and busy week as the Barangay and SK Election is coming.
I haven't had a blog for weeks now, I was a bit busy due to different tasks given to me by our Chief. I was having a hectic schedule because of the upcoming election. That is when I learned that there would be another OCD Onboarding Orientation. I was afraid I couldn't attend this time, but I still managed to and with an invitee.
Fine Saturday weather, I watched these children chatting, while I was waiting for my invitee to arrive. Wondering what's their meeting about? I think they were planning on what to ask for on Christmas hahaha. The main reason why they were here was also to wait for my invitee.
I was a bit excited for today because I will now have the chance to listen to the orientation. I am also a part of this community that still growing, getting bigger and spreading the hive goodness to all.
As our travel starts, we are entering the City of Bogo boundary. The sky was cooperating as the clouds were dancing above, saying there was no need to worry for rain would not come today 😊.
After a 20-minute ride, we arrived at the Cebeco II corner going to Malingin Elementary School. We pass through this mixed limestone and cemented road. After 5 minutes we successfully reached our destination.
As we arrived at the venue, the program almost started. As stood up in front. We settle down so as our invitee.
Let's Start
As every Onboarding Orientation begins, we all have an introduction of ourselves. One by one, our invitees tell about themselves and so are we. Our facilitator wanted to familiarize every one of the attendees. But of course, the facilitator cannot escape, they have to introduce themselves too.
HIVE Orientation
Everything was set, and the facilitator started to introduce everyone to the platform. We clearly understood the three main aspects of HIVE, which are: Blockchain, Decentralized and Uncensored. and
explain what is Hive and blockchain, its platform with different communities. They emphasized the importance of exploring and engaging with other bloggers. They also show us the interface of PeakD and its features.
The next topic was being discussed by mam . She showed us an example of a blog and what you will see inside. She reiterated the importance of engaging.
Look how attentive the audiences are. They showed their eagerness to learn about this platform.
Next to discuss is , who focused on the Do's and Dont's on blogging. She emphasizes plagiarizing as the big NO NO in the world of blogging. She also discussed spamming and identity theft. Spamming is posting several times and identity theft is using someone's identity to make or create content. She also mentioned the hive watchers wherein if you get caught violating the rules of PeakD, you will be muted or worst blacklisted.
The next presentor is . She discussed how to make a blog. To make an introduction about yourself to be able to join Hive. She also discussed the keys to focusing on making an introblog. Facts about yourself, your hobbies/interests, the reason for joining Hive, what you can contribute and lastly how you got to know Hive or who introduced you to Hive. Newbies must bear these things in their minds to attract the curators on Hive.
An introblog must contain at least one thousand (1,000) words. The more your content is the more it will attract the curators.
The next presentor is mam , wherein she discussed how to create an interesting blog. You have to put an enticing cover photo to attract the readers and make them curious about your blog. Make a captivating title and share it with the community. It will make you known and will have an engagement with other writers.
She also discussed the content of your blog. First, content must have substance; second, content is related to the topics in the community it is shared; and most importantly, content must be original.
The Open Forum
Every discussion ends, and in every ending, there will be an open forum or question and answer portion. Each one of us is given the chance to ask questions to the facilitator. Provided any clarifications to the blurry side of our minds.
The Photo Opt
So our program formally ends with this photo opportunity. We had the chance to take photos together with the invitees and the facilitators. We ended at past noon.
Lunch Time
We are very thankful to sir for accommodating us. His warm welcome and preparing this sumptuous lunch that we shared. We enjoyed this day and became quiet as we took our lunch.
That sums up our fruitful and productive day. Our hive family is getting bigger and better.
