Ohh, where do we start? π₯³π
Time flies so fast!
Happy 1st Hive birthday to me! July 9th, a year ago, I started blogging on Hive and fortunately, I am still here. π Honestly, it is not easy to be consistent in posting and engaging on a platform, but I always find time to do so on Hive Blockchain. π₯°
One year. A lot of milestones, learnings, and things to be grateful for. In this blog, I will share some of my best times and experiences. π Lezzgo~
I am waiting for this shiny badge on my Hivebuzz profile today before posting this blog. Ahh~ I feel old already on the blockchain haha~ π I stared at this for a good two minutes. π
Badges
After a year with Hive, I have collected five badges! π₯³ Hive PH, NFT Showroom, 3Speak, Photography Lovers, and PIZZA. It is not easy to earn them by being active and engaging in the community. All worth it~
Awards and Personal milestones
I never missed one PUD since I joined Hive. I already set the reminder on my calendar so that I will not miss it. I did PUM once in October. One missed day will ruin the streak so I doubled my alarm just in case I missed the first alarm. π
The monthly author was the hardest badge! It was mentally draining and physically challenging. I planned to do it in the month of February because it has lesser days HAHA you see what I did there? π The effect? I got sick for 4 days and I had to host a game event on Discord. Was it worth it? HELL YEAH.
Art of Blogging
I am not really new to the blogging scene, in fact, I used to blog (still am) to a crypto-earning site called read.cash. That platform for me is some sort of a diary. I just threw in whatever happened on my day or what was happening to the world. I do mind the paragraphing, sentence construction, and all the basic blogging stuff until I got to Hive...Holy Charizard, this platform is way more formal and constructed! I like the /sub and /div because that way, the blog is more organized, in my opinion. So, I stepped up my blogging game. π€£ There is no way I can put my blog like a diary here haha. So, I sourced stuff to help me create a blog that is at par with Hive standards. Today, I shared with newbies what I learned about blogging. Ha~ I just compared my blogging style today and a year ago~ UGHHHH π€£
Communities
I know that I like to post art stuff here but if you noticed, I did not jump right away on art communities. There are so many interesting communities like Foodies Bee Hive, Pinmapple, Wednesday Walk, and Market Friday to name some. Before posting on communities, I read first the rules because not every community is the same, but the common denominator is to produce your own original content.
Along the way, I meet peeps with the same interests. Say for example, in Photography Lovers, some are into macro photography, same as me! πI love discovering tiny worlds of insects and plants. I learned a trick or two in photography by just engaging in the comments. Such a delight to find people with the same hobbies and interests! π
Prolly eighty percent of my blog right now is about art, which was the original plan from the start. I want to put my art progress here on Hive blockchain so that I can look them back. I post them a lot on Alien Art Hive which in my opinion is where my art is appropriate. I appreciate all the different styles and interpretations. π It is like living on one's mind whenever I see art. Aha~ so this is what they were thinking kind of moment. I say that especially in an art blog compilation. π€©
Aside from Alien Art Hive, I post too on Hive Gaming (now that I am back in gaming life π ), and Photography Lovers.
Hive is not just about blogging and crypto stuff. I believe the people and the community are what make a blockchain. I am most grateful to Hive PH for helping me in my blogging journey and for the fun times. π I made a lot of friends and acquaintances along the way wohoo~ π₯° (Hard to mention y'all). Though we are a screen apart, I really appreciate them and treat them as true friends to the point I am comfortable sharing personal stuff (like never told) over Discord with some friends. π₯³
Aside from Hive PH, I enjoy the company of my artsy friends in Art Park. We talk about not just about art but dumb, silly things. π€£
Can't wait to meet more friends~ π
NFT
I started my NFT collection in late October last year. Before minting chibis, I was already doing chibi avatars for my friends. I think it started with one friend until others requested to have their chibi avatar. I thought of, what if I turn them into NFTs π. I am happy to do chibis for friends and also, it is like a test run for the collection. I made a template and an artstyle that will be uniform to all. I was thinking what if I made it like a generative art? Ahh, scratch that because it does not make sense to me... Like how am I supposed to be creative? So, every minted chibi in the collection is unique, one of one, hand-drawn, and non-generative.
As of typing this blog, I already made 34 chibis with a volume of 353.400 Hive. Some are give aways and commissioned. I should pat myself huhu~ π₯Ί Can't believe that I made all this happen, just me. From the concept, of choosing colors, creating mood boards, marketing, posting, blogging, minting, and selling. There are times when the hardest part of the creation was the name. Yas, hahah, the name. π Phew~ that is a lot for one person for an NFT project. I really, really, appreciate people who like and bought my art. π₯Ί I feel like they believe in me! imma cri. Of course, I get some input from friends and I credit them for that. π
My heart is super happy! π In Filipino we call it "kilig". I am kilig, hahah! π
Hmm, what lies ahead of me on Hive... or just the whole community? π I want to know the future but for now, I will enjoy the ride. More and more candy and rainbow years with Hive! β€οΈβπ₯
Thanks for reading! -jiji
