, and yours truly, we were able to set the exact date in spreading Hive's goodness. The generous and kind-hearted principal of Malingin Elementary School sir
, heartily offered his school to be served as the venue.
A day before the orientation, honestly I have mixed emotions. I was a little bit anxious when Indayclara assigned me a certain topic to be discussed. Can I handle it? What if my discussions will not be enough? Well then, this is a matter of trust and confidence. I've been one year on this platform already, and our facilitators trusted me and I will truly do my best.
Spreading is Caring
We spread because we care😍. The date was saved. It was on October 10, 2023, when we conducted once again a half-day orientation about how Hive adds color to our lives. Another expected bloggers who are willing to join this platform come and are excited to listen to how Hive makes a difference in our lives.
We traveled 20 minutes from my residence before reaching the venue. In my 41 years of existence, this was my first time to be stepping into this school. The setting is perfect, there is tranquility and serenity. There are no disturbances and the feeling of being fresh was maintained. This is important as this will bridge to a productive event.
I was glad I was not late. Upon my arrival, the others were not around yet, so I was given a chance to take a rest for a while. I get easily dizzy if I travel. We had a good conversation with some of the participants and let them feel comfortable. They have traveled from afar, and having a friendly talk with them will let them feel that they belong.
While waiting for Sir Intoy, indayclara shared some of her expertise so the attendees would not be bored. She talked about how this platform works. Afterward, they were asked to share something about themselves, their hobbies, their likes, and who introduced them to this platform. I was having fun listening to them as they shared and showed their eagerness in joining Hive.
Amidst Indayclara's talk, finally, Sir Intoy arrived. His presence was really looked forward to because the needed stuff was in his hands. After setting up, the proper orientation started.
The proper orientation
Navigating Peakd was discussed by Sir Intoy. He demonstrated how to use this website easily. His expertise in this topic opened up the minds of the invitees and it is quite similar to the other platforms. The basic functions were elaborated vividly which gave the participants enough knowledge of how this website functioned.
One of our co-teacher bloggers confidently discussed what is to be seen in the blog. The invitees were given specific details that are reflected in the blogs and she also explained clearly the importance of engagement.
Another important topic being tackled was the DOs and DON'Ts. This was 's topic. She was able to expound on this topic well and what will be the consequences a blogger will face if these are violated.
It's my turn now. I was assigned to discuss how to make an introduction blog. I was able to explain the contents of the introduction and with the guidance of Indayclara, this was delivered well.
How to get curated was 's topic. There are different bases on how to attract curators and these were explained well to them for future reference.
After our topics were delivered, additional information about Hive blogging was imparted by Indayclara and Sir Intoy. Upon sharing, the knowledge of the invitees widened and to fully understand different questions were raised.
The overflowing eagerness
Questions that bothered the participants' minds were raised and were answered religiously by the facilitators. When they raised their questions, we proved that they were all excited and eager to start blogging.
Group Photo Opportunity
The group photo opportunity was done that will serve as an emblem of this significant event. Happiness was seen on their faces and were grateful to our facilitators for a job well done.
We always valued the sense of belongingness. Together we shared the food served on the table. We parted ways with brains loaded with knowledge and with stomachs full of satisfaction.
We never get tired of spreading Hive. Although this is only a simple act to others I'm pretty sure that in this sharing, betterment will occupy a place in one's life.
It was a successful and productive day!
That's all for our Hive Orientation and thank you for spending your time reading my blog.
