Hi there my Hivean friends and followers!
I have already showed you some wildlife of Zanzibar in this post and I´m still yet to prepare the long overdue post about the one and only national park on the island but before I get to make that one, I just wanted to show you some domesticated animals that you can encounter on this amazing Tanzanian archipelago.
The locals obviously have some very special bonds with their domesticated animals. This was actually the very first time that we saw so many different animals from dogs and cats to cows, bulls, goats, geese, ducks etc. just casually roaming around the streets of the towns and villages and even on the beaches. They seemed to roam completely free (and eat what they want :D) without any supervision. In fact, it was even impossible to find out who their owners were :D
The animals looked very relaxed and they were not bothered by me and my camera at all. I think with the bigger cows and bulls, I was actually more scared of them than they were of me :D But enough talking (writing). Let´s take a look at some of the pictures of the domesticated animals that I captured on the Unguja Island, Zanzibar, Tanzania.
I hope you enjoyed the photos. As I already mentioned, it was a very new and unusual experience for me. We do have domesticated animals here in my country too of course and if you head out to the Czech countryside, you can easily come across herds of cows, sheep or goats but they usually graze in fenced pasture lands and there is someone checking them out and taking care of them. The Zanzibar animals, on the other hand, seem to have absolute freedom, which is actually very nice.
So that´s it for today. Next time, hopefully, we will explore the national park that is home to the wild creatures ;) Until then... Hakuna Matata! :)
EDIT: I´m sorry about posting this post to a wrong community. I would swear I picked the Photography Lovers community for it but it somehow ended up in the Loving Hive community :( I´m not a fan of cross posting though so this post will only stay in the Loving Hive community, unfortunately. Sorry guys!
