Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well and staying healthy.
I want to congratulate every Hivians as we recently celebrated the 2nd anniversary of our beloved social media platform. Although I am fairly new to Hive but I can see why people love this platform.
On returning from a little break from hive and social media my eyes caught a challenge running on hive from asking people to post about "5 reasons why you love hive" and there are some nice entries to the challenge already, hoping I am not late to the challenge here are my top reasons why I love hive.
Communities

I love hive the most for its rich plethora of communities, be it travelling, photography, chess or anything one can imagine. Hive has a lot of communities for everyone's needs.
Some of the communities I would shout out to are; ,
,
,
, photography-lover, design and architecture, the chess community etc.
Communities are the true backbone of Hive if you ask me, you will find like-minded people who would love to read and interact with your posts and you would do the same and enjoy doing it.
For Making Friends and Sharing Stories
Hive is a global community having people from all over the world to read and see their stories of how they live, eat and celebrate cultural festivals and whatnot. It all helps us to see the world from a different perspective.
Unlike the news where we see all the negative things about the world but hive helps us to balance it with all the positive stories about some of the places that media will show as hell on earth.
Hive helps us to find like-minded people that can help make some really good friends.
For Personal Skills

Many of us are developing some personal skills as we write posts on Hive. I have seen some improvement in my skills like writing and creative skills. Hive forces us to become better in those skills and with each sentence or interaction on hive we are improving our social and personal skills.
Before Hive I would capture a photograph and never thought about it, but now I tend to see how can I improve it just a little more to improve my blogs. Still, a long way to go but the journey seems good for now.
For money

Yes, earnings are one of the main reasons many people including me love hive, but only money is not the reason, I love what I do and getting paid for it is a huge bonus on top of it.
Hive is a good source of secondary income for many. It can even be seen as a source of investment.
Games and Challenges

I love to play games and do fun challenges on hive. I have been playing splinterlands and risingstar games for some time now. Outside the hive ecosystem, I also love to play chess and share my games, discuss strategies and solve puzzles with people on hive.
I participate in splinterlands weekly challenges, lmac challenges and ecotrain's challenge questions regularly and do take some other challenges occasionally. They push me to post regularly on hive.
These are my top 5 reasons to love hive, there are many more reasons why I love hive, for its decentralized nature, for its 2nd layer token, for getting crypto knowledge and much more. Let me know what you like hive for?
