Thank you for saying so.
Better content creators solves the real problem.
You may be right, but do you know what the #1 most attractive offer for truly great content-creators is?
A bigger crowd.
More reach.
More impact.
Bigger numbers.
A sold-out arena.
New fans.
Basically... consumers.
And Hive is comprised of mostly creators & devs. Hive offers very little to content-creators, because what content creators care about is audiences.
From my other comment:
Most good bands hates playing an empty room, but loves playing a packed stadium. Most good comedians hate playing an empty room, but would play a packed concert hall for free. Audience is far more attractive for true artists and talented content creators than money. I'd love to market to great content creators, but to do that, I'd have to tell them there was an audience of consumers here on Hive... which my campaign is aimed to get.
On top of that, there may be plenty of good content creators willing to post quality content here, but they need to HEAR about Hive first. And you know what gets things known? Do you know what the most powerful amplifier of visibility in the world is? The general public. Consumer-based word-of-mouth creates the most buzz, the fastest. It's how things become 'popular', so offering them value and speaking directly to consumers in branding and marketing is extremely powerful.
So that is why I'm so consumer-focused here.
Well, sounds like you and like this 'Patreon for creators' approach, which is fine, but the creators here are scrounging for scraps, 2-3 comments per post, because there's no one consuming, so I don't really see the model you both are suggesting working until there are a healthy amount of consumers on the platform. And it's super easy to get them.
We have the 'killer app' already. It's a project that blows FB, Twitter, and Instagram out of the water.
It's called Hive.Blog, and it's a social platform where you literally earn crypto for swiping and liking.
It's a marketer's dream. How could you NOT market this? Consumers would love this.
From my other comment:
Fiverr markets itself as a way to make money, but most people fail on Fiverr. Fiverr still grows. Uber markets itself as a way to make money just by driving around, but most drivers fail on Uber. Uber still grows. YouTube markets itself as a place to earn money for posting video content. Most YouTubers fail. YouTube still grows. Hive(.Blog) can, and should, do the exact same thing and grow.
Anyway, thanks again for sharing, I hope what I've written clears things up, but I'm happy to agree to disagree as well, whatever suits you. :) Wishing you a great day! 🙏
