Well, I've been taking some times from continuing my painting works. Finally arriving on the end of September, I managed to finished another batch. This time it's Guttripaz squad from Kruleboyz. This batch still pose a challenge for myself. The numerous details of the figure put quite a load into my works. Also dealing with 10 small-sized units is much burdensome compared to 5 medium-sized units.
This batch is actually my 2nd batch. Previously I made a batch of Guttripaz which took quite some time with all those consideration. Polishing highlight into the intricate detail of each units is very time consuming, and I don't think I attained my expected result. The 2nd batch also still put some burden, but I'm able to pick up my pace better. But putting a neat highlights is still quite a challenge. I think that I will need to do a 3rd batch to finally reached my expected result. So here's my paint works progression!
I started the work by stroking the base colors which is Orruk Flesh for the skin, and Mephiston Red for the shield (as usual Abaddon Black make my primer color).

Then I continue to put Rhinox Hide into the ragged clothes, and Leadbelcher to fill the helmet and blade of the spear. To bring variation, I choose to use Weapon Bronze from Army Painter to color the pauldron instead and also the rivet and spike in the shield.
To assert the details. I use Doombull Brown to color the lashing between the ragged clothes. And then Steel Legion Drab which is more of saturated-greenish-brown to color the armband rope. Mournfang Brown color the pole of the spear.
The next step is putting a Wash into the whole recess of the minis, which I still found difficulty. I use Agrax Earthshade which is more of blackish shade to cover the entire miniatures. Literally the entire surface! This cause my minis to lose its vibrant color which I think is a mistake, and then I have to repaint several parts to keep vibrant color on most seen parts. Without sufficient control, Wash could left behind some patchy color which is not expected; and yet its very difficult to control the flow of Wash which is least viscose.
And on the final steps, I put Astrogranite Technical for the base. And for the final touch I put highlight to the skin using Niblet Green Dry. And here finally I managed to finished all the 10 minis with all the necessity details.
