Hey everyone!

I really need to get my butt into gear and start posting these again. Turns out that in the new 11th edition of Warhammer 40,000 set to be released later this year will have a new revised focus of Detachments!

So the story is that depending on the Size of your battle, you will be awarded a number of Detachment Points as well as a few other restrictions:

You will be building an army from one Codex, so the Army rule for your entire force will have ONE rule and one Army origin. Then you will use your Detachment Points to purchase a Detachment with bonuses and limits off the shelf.

Some Detachments will cost 1 DP, and be specific in their focus while 2-3DP Detachments will have wider and more valuable bonuses. It is said that we are getting 70 new Detachments across all factions and that the new ones will be 1DP and the existing Detachments will be 2DP each.

In 1000 point games you can only use 2 Enhancements total and use 2 of the same Datasheets. Example 2x Units of Bladeguard Veterans. While Battleline units line Intercessors get double the limit so max of 4 units.

Meanwhile, in 2,000pts games, you can use up to 4 Enhancements and up to 3 identical units and 6 of a Battleline unit.

This is already PLENTY to Process!

Although I do not know if I will be using this splitting off of my assets and points into different things. Right now with Space Wolves I am pretty sure I would not use a Detachment to give me bonuses to Land Speeders or something like that. However they have also teased some new things for every Space Marine Chapter with their own rules!

The Space Wolves get a refresh of the Champions of Fenris Detachment where the bonus now will be that Character units have Counter-Attack! Ah! 3rd Edition strikes again! Hehe
