So there is no reason why a person should not be able to use any of the Jump Pack Chaplains that already exist... or slap a new jump pack on a Primaris Chaplain... or slap any jump pack on any Chaplain...

However, there is also something satisfying all the different models that you can for the faction(s) that you play.

I probably do not need one of these for my Space Wolves... perhaps this is a call to arms for me to start building and painting my Blood Angels!

Anyhow... let's have a quick look at what the JP Chaplain does at the moment. There is a good chance that he will get some sort of new juicy boost to sell that model!

For 75pts you get a Chaplain with a Crozius Arcanum (His stick/badge of office) and a Bolt Pistol.

Options-wise you can change the Bolt Pistol out for any of the following:

Boltgun (meh)
Combi-Weapon (mkay but meh)
Grav-pistol (interesting but odd, helps if you battle lots of tanks)
Inferno Pistol (Also Anti-tank... but better AP)
Hand Flamer (the opposite of the grav-pistol, for fighting troops)
Plasma Pistol (Heavy hitter, but can be risky)
Storm Bolter (OK, reliable)
Power Fist (Now you're talking! For close combat! But only +2S and +1AP compared to the Crozius)

What is best? It is up to you! I like the fist, the plasma pistol and the inferno pistol.

Meanwhile... he also brings great squad boosts!

Litany of Hate
While this model is leading a unit, all their melee attacks get +1 to Wound rolls.

This is a solid buff to take out high-toughness targets!

Exhortation of Rage
Each time this model's unit is selected to fight (so works when he is not leading a unit), roll a D6. On a 4-5, deal D3 Mortal Wounds to one enemy unit or on a 6, deal 3 Mortal Wounds.

So that is how he works now. We'll see if he changes or weapon options change.
