The Aeldari are an alien race that has had a long standing within the lore of Warhammer 40,000. The longer any faction exists in the lore, the more lore gets written about them.

We have discussed the disciplined and enlightened Asuryani (Craftworld Eldar), the depraved and evil Drukhari (Dark Space Elves to the extreme!) and the Exodites - Dinosaur riding anti-technology Eldar (Who would be really amazing as a collection of models but are nowhere to be seen!

Here is the 4th kind - The Aeldari Corsairs.

Basically, it is common among the younger Aeldari and some others who just have a wild heart to wander beyond the Carftworlds. They sometimes are explorers, but often become mercenaries or worse - pirates.

These brash and adventurous corsairs usually eventually slow down and return to the Craft Worlds and take up the path of Asuryan once more. Their exile is somewhat of a self imposed one.

However, the Corsairs are welcome among the Drukhari as well and there are young Drukhari that also decide to join the Corsairs.

It is possible that some Corsairs then go to the Dark City of Camorragh instead of returning to the Craftworlds and this then becomes a reason for Asuryani and Corsairs to go to war with one another.

In the game the Corsairs used to be a special unit in an addon book to 40k. I am not sure if they are included anywhere as potential allies at all.

There is however a Killteam box of Corsairs. Killteam is a squad based spinoff game for 40k.
