Hello to all fellow #jewelry lovers. I hope this Monday is good for you both in health and in business. Today, I want us to look into the making of a pointed tendril. The pointed tendril will be made using beads and gum. Below, I'll be providing materials and procedures I adopted for the making of the pointed tendril. I believe this will help to assist you to make one of the pointed tendrils for those you love.
Materials that were used for the making of the pointed tendril will be highlighted below
Skeleton of a pointed tendril.
6 pieces of white pearl bead while 3 pieces will be used to make one side of the pointed tendril.
8 pieces of yellow pearl bead white 4 pieces out from the 8 will be used to make each side of the pointed tendril.
Gum.
Procedures that I adopted for the making of the pointed tendril will also be provided below
Before I proceed with the procedures of pointed tendril making, I want to state it categorically that I made the worst mistake of buying the wrong gum. I already made a plan to make a pointed tendril today but I didn't have it in mind that the gum that I'm supposed to use for the gumming of beads to the skeleton of the pointed tendril. Since the gum I'm supposed to use got finished, I visited the market to see how I can buy one gum for my work.
When I visited the market to buy gum for my work, I noticed that the whole market was totally lucked. This means that the whole market didn't open today. Now I became very worried because I need to make a pointed tendril I already considered making. Coming out from the market, I saw where they're selling motorcycle parts. I entered the shop and asked them if they sell gum that I can use for beads. The man brought out the gum which I used to make the pointed tendril. Why I said I made a mistake with the gum I bought is that I didn't know that the color of the gum will be blue from the inside. Applying the gum was another hell for me because it takes over 30 minutes for the beads to get stacked with the tendril skeleton.
The gum also changed the initial plan that I had for the pointed tendril. I wanted to add red sand beads to the pointed tendril but I noticed that the gum will not go well with the sand beads. This is why I only decided to make use of pearl beads for the gumming of the skeletal tendril. For me, I'll not be using the gum again for any of my creative works again and I don't recommend it for anyone out there. You can only use the gum for your work if you're ready to wait for over 30 minutes for gum beads.
Now as I always do, I gathered the whole materials that I wanted to use to make the pointed tendril in one place. Why I do this is to make the making of the pointed tendril faster and easier.
Now the first thing I did to make my pointed tendril was to apply some gum to the skeleton of the pointed tendril.
After I first applied gum to the center of the pointed tendril skeleton, I now gummed 3 pieces of white pearl beads to the center and allowed it to dry properly.
I now have to start applying gum to the yellow pearl beads. I have to gum 1 yellow pearl bead besides the right white pearl bead. I gummed another 1 yellow pearl bead to the down right side of the white pearl bead.
Now I have to gum 1 yellow pearl bead to the left side of the white pearl bead. I also gummed another 1 yellow pearl bead to the downside of the left white pearl bead.
After the whole gumming of the beads which now formed the pointed tendril, I allowed it to dry for more than 1hr.
