In recent days I got in the store where I usually buy some materials a nice shiny thread that in my opinion looks like a leather, but the person who works informed me that it is called snake leather because of the shiny resemblance that has the material and the tiny, almost imperceptible scales on the surface.

En días pasados conseguí en la tienda donde suelo comprar algunos materiales un bonito hilo brillante que en mi opinión parece una cuerina, pero la persona que trabaja me informó que se llama cuero de serpiente por el parecido brilloso que tiene el material y las diminutas, casi imperceptibles escamas en la superficie.

I was encouraged to buy a few meters right away as it is very economical and I regretted the fact that it only came in black or dark brown, it is something I can't decide on because it is too light to be black and too dark to be brown. I came to the conclusion that it was perfect for me as I am quite indecisive 😅.

Me animé a comprar unos cuantos metros de inmediato ya que es muy económico y lamenté el hecho de que solo tuviera en color negro o marrón oscuro, es algo en lo que no me pide decidir por es muy claro para ser negro y muy oscuro para ser marrón. Llegué a la conclusión que era perfecto para mí, pues soy bastante indecisa, 😅

I still have some crystals from my friend Ricardo, the truth is that he proposed to return accessories all the collection he had and whenever I see him he gives me two or three to make an accessory, For this time I wanted to make him something different. A bracelet, very masculine and with a lot of character and here I show you the result.

Todavía tengo algunos cristales de mi amigo Ricardo, la verdad que se propuso volver accesorios todos la colección que tenía y siempre que lo veo me da dos o tres para hacer un accesorio, Para está vez quise hacerle algo diferente. Un brazalete, bien masculino y con mucho carácter y aquí les muestro el resultado.

The stone already had a hole in it, so there was no need to make a crimp, but the hole was on one side only and I had to figure out how to fasten it with the snakeskin, I did not want to make a crimp with the leather, since it was a bit thick, it did not look aesthetically pleasing. So I passed a strand of about 35 centimeters through the hole and tied a fairly loose knot. I passed a strand that goes in the opposite direction through the middle of the knot I had previously made and a third strand with which I had planned to make lark's knots.

Ya la piedra contaba con un agujero, así que no era necesario hacer un engarce, pero el agujero estaba de un solo lado y tuve que ingeniarmelas para sujetarlas con el cuero de serpiente, no quería hacer un engarce con el cuero, ya que por ser algo grueso, no se veía estético. Entonces pase una hebra de unos 35 centímetros aproximadamente por el agujero y realicé un nudo bastante flojo. Pase una hebra que va en sentido opuesto por el medio del nudo que había hecho con anterioridad y una tercera hebra con la que tenía previsto realizar nudos alondra.

With all the strands positioned, I made some beautiful lark knots that gave the design a personal touch and a lot of strength. At first I made the simple knots, that is to say, with only one loop. And it didn't look very good, I wasn't happy.

Con todos los hilos posicionados, me dediqué a realizar unos bonitos nudos alondra que le aportaron personalmente y mucha fuerza al diseño. Al principio realicé los nudos simples, es decir con una sola vuelta. Y no se veía muy bien, no estaba conforme.

I untied everything I had advanced to the base of the quartz and then I started with full lark knots, with double twist on each side strand and then I could notice a great improvement. With this material which is imitation snakeskin you have to tighten each knot well, as one of its features is that it is slippery and the knots loosen.

Desaté todo lo que había avanzado hasta la base del cuarzo y entonces empecé con nudos alondra completos, con doble giro en cada hebra lateral y entonces pude notar una gran mejoría. Con este material que es imitación de cuero de serpiente hay que ajustar bien cada nudo, pues uno de sus rasgos es que es resbaladiza y los nudos se aflojan.

When I reached the end of the braiding, I cut and sealed the excess with the lighter and realized that it is also very sensitive to heat because it is a material with a significant synthetic content. The good thing is that the seal is imperceptible when it melts completely, but you have to be careful because it melts very quickly and we can hurt ourselves.

Al llegar al final del trenzado, corté y sellé los excedentes con el encendedor y me percaté de que también es muy sensible al calor por ser un material con un contenido sintético importante. Lo bueno es que el sellado queda imperceptible al fundirse completamente, pero hay que tener cuidado porque se derrite muy rápido y podemos hacernos daño.

I left the opposite side of the bracelet without any detail, it is part of the design. And for the closure, I made flat knots that by the way are magnificent with this material.
