[ENG/ESP] Bracelet with X-shaped weave./Pulsera con tejido en forma de X.

Today I learned a new way of braiding with Chinese thread. This design although it seems simple has its degree of difficulty and I would classify it in grade two, but I must clarify that the complex is not to make the X in the middle of the braid but to include some beads to give more relevance to the piece that we are making since we are working with 6 threads of which 2 are the central threads, 2 with which the X is assembled, which must be a thread of contrasting color and 2 strands for the moorings.

Hoy aprendí una nueva forma de trenzado con hilo chino. Este diseño aunque parece sencillo tiene su grado de dificultad y yo lo clasificaría en grado dos, pero debo aclarar que lo complejo no es realizar la X en medio del trenzado sino incluir algunas cuentas para dar mayor relevancia a la pieza que estamos realizando ya que se trabaja con 6 hilos de los cuales 2 son los hilos centrales, 2 con el que se arman las X, el cual debe ser un hilo de color contrastante y 2 hebras para los amarres.

To make this bracelet took me about two hours, yes friends, believe me, it was two hours because I did not master well the braiding of the Xs that must be done on the back of the bracelet, otherwise it is not possible to bring the threads to the front in the correct orientation to assemble the front Xs.

Hacer este brazalete me tomó unas dos horas, si amigos, créanme, fueron dos horas ya que no dominaba bien el trenzado de las X que obligatoriamente se deben realizar al reverso de la pulsera, pues de otra manera no es posible llevar los hilos hacia el frente en la orientación correcta para así armar las X frontales.

The first thing to do is to measure the threads. The central ones can be about 30 centimeters maximum to work comfortably and we hold them with tweezers at both ends to work with the taut central ones. We measure a 1.5 meter red thread and we place half of it, with it we make a simple knot followed by two flat knots and with a 1 meter white thread we place half of it and we make two flat knots with the red thread. Remember that the white thread will only be used to make the X's and in no case we will use it to make knots.

Lo primero que debemos hacer es medir los hilos. Los centrales pueden ser de unos 30 centímetros como máximo para trabajar con comodidad y los sujetamos con pinzas a ambos extremos para trabajar con los centrales tensados. Medimos hilo rojo de 1.5 metros y ubicamos la mitad, con el realizamos un nudo simple seguido de dos nudos planos y con un hilo blanco de 1 metro ubicamos la mitad y realizamos dos nudos planos con el hilo rojo. Recordemos que el hilo blanco solo lo vamos a usar para hacer las X y en ningún caso lo usamos para realizar nudos.

We bring the ends of the white thread crossing it to the front, we take the ends backwards for more comfort and we make two flat knots, in this way the first X is assembled.

Traemos los extremos del hilo blanco cruzándolo hacia el frente, llevamos las puntas hacia atrás para mayor comodidad y realizamos dos nudos planos, de esta manera queda armada la primera X.

Now we cross the white thread at the back and bring the ends to the front and once we have placed the ends upwards we tie two flat knots again. We repeat the process always crossing the threads once at the back of the bracelet and the next time at the front.

Ahora cruzamos el hilo blanco por detrás y llevamos los extremos hacia el frente y una vez que hemos ubicado las puntas hacia arriba hacernos nuevamente los dos nudos planos. Repetimos el proceso cruzando siempre los hilos una vez por detrás de la pulsera y la siguiente por delante.

For this bracelet I decided to include white murano crystals, thinking that it would give much more presence, but it turns out that at this point things got a little complicated, because the first tie of the murano I did it quickly, but as it is a totally improvised knot and we are working with 6 strands of Chinese thread, I forgot how I had intertwined the threads and I was forced to go back to memorize the movements of the threads, and although I managed to advance some changes in the pattern of the ties are noticed.

Para este brazalete decidí incluir cristales blancos de murano, pensando que le daría mucha más presencia, pero resulta que en este punto las cosas se complicaron un poco, pues el primer amarre del murano lo hice rápidamente, pero como es un nudo totalmente improvisado y estamos trabajando con 6 hebras de hilo chino, me olvidé de cómo había entrelazado los hilos y me veía obligada a retroceder para poder ir memorizando los movimientos de los hilos, y aunque logré avanzar se notan algunos cambios en el patrón de los amarres.

I will explain the way in which I included the crystals, first a crystal is passed through the two central threads, the strands of white thread are passed upwards and with the red tie thread two flat knots are made in front of the crystal, the white threads are crossed in front and two more flat knots are made, this way a new X is formed. I attached five 3mm beads on each side and finished the ends with flat knots and in the same way I worked the clasp.

Les explicaré la forma en que incluí los cristales, primero se pasa un cristal por los dos hilos centrales, las hebras de hilo blanco se pasan hacia arriba y con el hilo de amarre color rojo se realizan dos nudos planos por delante del cristal, se cruzan los hilos blancos por delante y se realizan dos nudos planos más, así se forma una nueva X. Anexe cinco balines de 3mm de cada lado y rematé los extremos con nudos planos y de la misma forma trabajé el cierre.
