I chose a red thread that I like very much. It is almost wine colored but still in the red line. The first thing we are going to do is count the amount of stitches we need. This is going to depend on the size we want for our star, which consists of 5 points. This one is medium and for it we need 10 chain stitches multiplied by 5 plus 5 stitches to make the increases that will allow us to make the crosses to form the star. In this sense, there are 55 stitches in total. If we want a smaller star we could count 7 chain stitches multiplied by 5 plus the 5 of the increases, for a total of 40 stitches per star.

Elegí un hilo rojo que me gusta mucho. Es casi color vino pero aún de mantiene en la línea del rojo. Lo primero que vamos hacer es contar la cantidad de puntos que necesitamos. Esto va a depender del tamaño que deseamos para nuestra estrella, la cual consta de 5 puntas. Ésta es mediana y para ella necesite 10 puntos de cadena multiplicado por 5 más 5 puntos para hacer los aumentos que nos permitieran hacer los cruces para formar la estrella. En este sentido, son 55 puntos en total. Si queremos una estrella más pequeña podriamos contar 7 puntos de cadena multiplicado 5 más los 5 de los aumentos, para un total de 40 puntos por estrella.

Now we pick up 10 single crochet stitches and when we reach stitch number 11 we make 3 increases. We knit 10 more single crochet stitches and in the next stitch the 3 increases and so on until we reach the end of the base chain. We will be left with a pentagon-shaped fabric.

Ahora levantamos 10 puntos bajos y al llegar al punto número 11 realizamos 3 aumentos. Volvemos a tejer 10 puntos bajos más y en el siguiente puntos los 3 aumentos y así hasta llegar al final de la cadena base. Nos quedará un tejido con forma de pentágono.

Fijamos las estrellas a una superficie colocando un alfiler en cada punta y aplicamos primero pegamento blanco y seguidamente un poco de brillos en gel. Dejamos secar el tiempo suficiente y este último paso le dará estructura y brillo a las estrellas, así no se enrollaran en las puntas.
