When it comes to making an accessory I like to go for the classic, maybe because it's more my style, but sometimes it's good to go for the unconventional. Combining different textures, colors and different types of materials in one or more pieces can be a big risk but also a great success. Therefore, stepping out of the comfort zone can take us to a new level of creativity and give us excellent results.

Cuando se trata de elaborar un accesorio me gusta irme por lo clásico, quizás porque es más mi estilo, pero algunas veces es bueno apostar por lo poco convencional. Combinar distintas texturas, colores y distintos tipos de materiales en una o varias piezas puede ser un gran riesgo pero también un gran acierto. Por ello, salirnos de la zona de confort puede llevarnos a un nuevo nivel de creatividad y darnos excelentes resultados.

Speaking of taking a risk, I set out to create a new set of bracelets. The truth is that I have a lot of material that has been accumulating over time and I regret not using it and I decided to combine some materials, but to unify everything, I stayed within the colors black and red, because although I wanted to take a risk, I wanted to do it with caution and not make a piece too overwhelming.

Hablando de arriesgarse, me dispuse a crear un nuevo set de pulseras. La verdad es que tengo mucho material que se me ha ido acumulando a lo largo del tiempo y me da mucho pesar no darle uso y me animé a combinar algunos materiales, pero unificar todo, me mantuve dentro de los colores negro y rojo, pues aunque quería arriesgarme, quería hacerlo con precaución y no elaborar una pieza demasiado abrumadora.

Combining the leather with the Chinese thread was the biggest challenge in this creation. I wondered if weaving the thread on the leather would be a good idea, but after trying several times the result was not favorable and I gave up that idea, so I decided to make two bracelets independent of each other but that kept the same trend and here they are. Let's go with the details.

Combinar la cuerina con el hilo chino fue el mayor reto de esta creación. Me preguntaba si entretejer el hilo sobre la cuerina sería buena idea, pero luego de intentarlo varias veces el resultado no era favorable y desistí de esa idea, entonces opte por hacer dos pulseras independientes la una de la otra pero que se mantuvieran con ka misma tendencia y aquí se las dejo. Vamos con los detalles.

I started by knotting the Chinese thread in three strands of 50 centimeters. I left a margin of 10 centimeters to work in closing. We knotted all the threads in a simple way, but this does not mean that we do it in a sloppy way, on the contrary, being a simple knot we must do it carefully so that it is perfect and it is something decorative and beautiful. We pass three black beads on each side thread and a red bead on the central thread and knot again. We leave a space to assemble the new flower and we complete three flowers each one between two simple knots and with a separator margin of approximately 1 centimeter.

Comencé anudando el hilo chino en tres hebras de 50 centímetros. Dejé un margen de 10 centímetros para trabajar en cierre. Anudamos todos los hilos de forma simple, pero esto no significa que lo hagamos de manera desprolija, por el contrario al ser un nudo simple debemos hacerlo cuidadosamente de manera que quede perfecto y sea algo decorativo y bonito. Pasamos tres cuentas negras en cada hilo laterales y una cuenta roja en el hilo central y anudamos nuevamente. Dejamos un espacio para armar la nueva flor y completamos tres flores cada una de ellas entre dos nudos simples y con un margen de separadores de aproximadamente 1 centímetro.

It is the turn to work the leather and it is as simple as it can be. I just knotted the ends and closed with a Franciscan knot. I made a flower pendant for this piece like the other bracelet, but I inverted the colors, because in this case the central bead is black and the surrounding ones are red. I worked the pendant with the Chinese thread on a crochet chain and closed it by twisting it on itself.

Es el turno de trabajar la cuerina y es lo más simple que puede existir. Solo anudé los extremos y cerré con un nudo franciscano. Elaboré para está pieza un dije de flor como el de las otra pulsera, pero invertí los colores, pues en este caso la cuenta central es negra y las de alrededor son rojas. Trabajé el colgante con el hilo chino en una cadena de crochet y lo cerré entorchando sobre si misma.
