Skill and creativity is one thing i know for sure its very important in every aspect of our life, skill help you to recreate old things when possible and get something fitting for the need without spending much money.
When i was growing up my mother never threw away any old material she will definitely recreate it to something new and beautiful and that is how i learned how to recreate old things to new things i would use for myself.
I had this bead for over 5yrs now and the old pattern in which it was designed is no more in voke and i really need that color of nakeless and bracelet, so i decided to recreate the bead to something fitting, tho it too me som time but the final outcome was just what gave me so much joy.
let me show you the process and things i used in recreating this bead.
- Fishing line
- Hook
- Lighter
- The beads itself
- Razor
- My two hands
I needed a tape to measure my neck so as to get a perfect size but unfortunately i can't find my tape and i needed that accessory for meeting today, so i decided to measure it with my two eyes and it worked.
I started by picking out the size of bead i need to make what i would love, the bead has three different sizes, the large, the medium and the smaller ones.
So i decided to use the medium because the large will not give me the fitting i needed, after that i picked out the golden small ones that will be between the medium green ones, this beautifies the necklace the more.
Then i brought out the fishing line and measured out the length that am certain will finish the work, and i also keep my lighter close by.
Then i put the green bead first theb the tiny gold, another bead and tiny gold to see what it will look like and honestly it was giving me the vibe i want, i continued repeating same steps till it became a little long.
I was still confused if its upto the size of my neck since i don't have a tape for measurement so i decided to place it on my neck to see the fitting as well as the size.
Wow it was really looking beautiful on me so i was motivated to continue till it get to the length i wanted it, i didn't want it so long neither do i want it too short.
It was time to fix the hook on the both side , after fixing the hook i carefully cut of the extra fishing line and burned the mouth with the lighter.
My nakelace is ready , lets move on to making the bracelet or bangule to fit the necklace.
Same tools, the fishing line, razor and bead was needed, but this time i was using the smaller size of the bead because i didn't want it to be same size with the necklace.
I used 13 green beads and 13 small golden bead , gradually i fix them in the fixing line, after fixing them i tied the fishing line and cut the excesses then burned it.
I repeated Same step for the second one because i wanted the bracelet to be two to give me the fitting i want for the accessory
Look what we have here, my green purse is going to be accompanied with my green bead necklace and bracelet.
It very good to ne creative because it helps one to have somethings that you can never get the exact make in the market, thats why i love creating somethings that i can for myself.
Green is one of my best color maybe because its symbolizes life and i love life a lot.
