Today I bring you how to make small pineapples to use as earrings. They are very simple, but because they are fruits and also made in the crochet technique, they attract attention in a flattering way for whoever wears them.

Hoy les traigo cómo elaborar unas pequeñas piñas para usar como aretes. Son muy sencillas, pero por ser frutas y además realizadas en la técnica de ganchillo, llaman la atención de forma favorecedora para quien las use.

The figure is composed of very basic shapes, they are just crochet discs in two sizes. 2 of 12 low stitches in the circle and 3 of 18 low stitches, for 5 in total. In addition a six-pointed wreath is made for the top of the pineapple. Let's go to the details.

La figura está compuesta de formas muy básicas, son solo discos de crochet en dos tamaños. 2 de 12 puntos bajos en el círculo y 3 de 18 puntos bajos, para 5 en total. Además se realiza una corona de seis puntas para la parte superior de la piña. Vamos a los detalles.

To work the smaller discs we start with a magic ring and pick up six single crochet stitches. Pulling the central thread, we close in a circle and then knit two single crochet stitches in each stitch. When we reach the end, we will have twelve single crochet stitches on the circumference. Close with a slip stitch and hide the extra stitches at the back of the fabric. Repeat the process three more times. Remember that we need two discs of 12 single crochet stitches for each earring, so we make four of them.

Para trabajar los discos más pequeños comenzamos con un anillo mágico y levantamos seis puntos bajos. Al tirar del hilo central, cerramos en círculo y luego tejemos dos puntos bajos en cada punto. Al llegar al final, tendremos doce puntos bajos en la circunferencia. Cerramos con punto deslizado y disimulamos los sobrantes en la parte de atrás del tejido. Repetimos el proceso tres veces más. Recordemos que necesitamos dos discos de 12 puntos bajos para cada arete, por tal razón realizamos cuatro.

We continue with the remaining discs and it corresponds to make the 18 single crochet stitches. We repeat the same as we have done with the twelve single crochet stitches, but we continue with a third round where we are going to make 1 single crochet and an increase until we complete the round, this way we get the 18 stitches we need. We repeat another 5 times the same procedure to have 6 discs of 18 stitches, 3 for each earring.

Seguimos con los discos restantes y corresponde hacer los de 18 puntos bajos. Repetimos lo mismo que hemos hecho con los de doce puntos bajos, pero continuamos con una tercera vuelta donde vamos a realizar 1 punto bajo y un aumento hasta completar la vuelta, así obtenemos los 18 puntos que necesitamos. Repetimos otras 5 veces el mismo procedimiento para tener 6 discos de 18 puntos, 3 para cada arete.

To make the crown of the pineapple, we make a magic ring and keep it open. We make five chains and then, leaving a stitch without knitting, we knit over this chain, a slip stitch and three single crochet stitches. We knit a slip stitch passing through the magic ring and repeat the process six times over the magic ring. When we pull the central thread we close the ring and the pineapple crown is assembled.

Para hacer la corona de la piña, realizamos un anillo mágico y lo mantenemos abierto. Realizamos cinco cadenas y luego, dejando un punto sin tejer, tejemos sobre esta cadena, un punto deslizado y tres puntos bajos. Realizamos un punto deslizado pasando por el anillo mágico y repetimos el proceso seis veces sobre el anillo mágico. Al tirar del hilo central cerramos el anillo y nos queda armada la corona de la piña.
