In this desire to continue learning, to put creativity and love in the hands, a couple of days ago I made this bracelet with the macrame weaving technique using a flat knot. For the first time I am doing this type of work and although it looks simple, for newbies like me the process of elaboration can be a bit difficult, however concentration is important when making this fabric so as not to get lost and have a good result. wordy.

I love the colors I chose to make the bracelet, they are very trendy and we can combine it with everything, this time I made it for my sister as a birthday present (yesterday) Saturday, the truth was a surprise for her and my daughter has been telling me that she wants one for herself too, hehehe, it's wonderful. In this sense, I will share the step by step and the materials used, considering that there are very few, some reused, others very cheap and easy to find in any haberdashery.

Procedimiento - Process

Paso I – Step I

It is important for friends who are encouraged to make this bracelet, to observe the step-by-step images to guide them. At this point we will start making a first guide knot to start working and before this knot we leave about 10 cm available to make the final closure. We can step on this single knot with a heavy object for greater control when working flat knots.

Paso II - Step II

To hold the first knot, use a fairly heavy glass vase, which gives you the necessary control to start working. Having fixed the knot of our guide mouse tail thread, in this case gray, we begin to make the movements to see our first flat knot. In the figure you can see exactly the procedure to start weaving for the flat knot. If you look closely, semi-circles are formed on both sides of our gray guide wire, one of the threads goes over, while it comes out under one of the semi-circles, in this case it is the right one, while on the other side it goes through under the guide thread and exits above the left half circle.

Paso III - Step III

The above procedure is repeated and we can see how our flat knot is forming in each fabric. We must look at the sample images so as not to be mistaken, since the process is repeated but varies when starting if it is above or below the guide line.

Paso IV – Step IV

As we progress in the fabric, the combination of colors and the gold details that the mouse tail has in neon colors is much more visible, it is very pretty.

Paso V – Step V

Once the neon thread is finished, we are going to cut the waste and seal the end of our fabric with the lighter.

Paso VI – Step VI

To finish we place an adjustable clasp that we are going to do with the same neon-colored mouse tail that we used to weave the bracelet. In this sense we will use the same flat knot, we seal with the lighter at the end.

Resultado - Result

As you can see the end of our fabric, the bracelet turned out beautiful, practical when removing and putting on, detailed with neat work. Despite the concentration required to avoid making mistakes in the knots and because it is the first time I have made this fabric, I am more than satisfied with the results, I love it and I consider that this type of bracelets never go out of style, what is needed is dedication and personality in each job and my sister received her with the greatest pleasure.
