Hello, everyone in-hive communication
Whimsical and colorful, this handcrafted necklace bursts with geometric beauty and whimsical wonder. A luxuriant palette of colored square beads range from pale pastels to saturated jewel tones is the focal point, each beaded at its center with a sparkling crystal. These geometric shapes are artfully arranged in perfect cascade, moving the eye down in a lovely V-shape.
Decorated with coral red and clear beads, the composition finds balance between structure and improvisation to a great extent. Round smooths alternate with square sharp corners to produce dynamic texture in the work, and a bright color palette exudes warm energy.
Perfect for holiday gatherings, creative adventures, or just adding some flair to daily style, this necklace celebrates independence and fashion freedom. Its handcrafted nature reflects an attention to color equilibrium and a sense of playfulness, contemporary style.
To create this necklace Pearl beads you’ll need the following materials:
Materials Needed:
Colored Square Beads with Hole in the Center (approximately 10 pieces)
Pink, purple, yellow, orange, green, and multicolorClear Small Round Crystal Beads
Red Medium Round Beads
Nylon Thread or Beading Wire
Crimp Beads
Lobster Clasp or Hook Closure
Jump Rings
Beading Needle
Flat-nose Pliers
Scissors or Wire Cutter
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Set up the Base:
Trim your beading wire or string to your desired length, having a bit of extra for the tie or attachment of the clasp.
Clamp one end of the clasp in place using a crimp bead: thread the wire through the crimp bead and around the clasp, and back through the crimp bead. Use pliers to flatten the crimp bead.
- Start the Necklace from One End:
Begin threading in this sequence (look at both sides for symmetry):
- Add Square Beads:
Insert a square bead by pushing the thread through a small clear crystal bead, then through the hole in the center of the square, and then through yet another crystal bead (this keeps the square secure).
Repeat this pattern symmetrically
- Make the Bottom V-Shape:
In the bottom center, put 3 square beads in a pointed pattern:
Start with the middle square bead first, straight down.
Add one on each side to form the sloping "V."
Add 1 red below the center square to finish with a dangle end.
- Complete the Other Half:
Make the same bead pattern as the first half in order to keep symmetry.
Complete by attaching the other half of the clasp with a crimp bead.
- Final Touch:
Check the bead tension to make sure that it all fits neat and flat.
Trim excess thread or wire.
Trial the clasp to make sure it's secure.
