Por aquí no somos expertos en alambrismo, de hecho no lo he intentado aún, pero con lo que sí se hacer y los materiales que tengo en casa, trato de crear accesorios diferentes, porque la idea es activar mi creatividad, y en esta oportunidad les comparto un tutorial de unos aretes de media luna elaborados con corales, que quedaron super lindo además de muy delicados y la verdad son muy sencillos de hacer, así que no les va a tomar ni mucho tiempo ni mucho trabajo elaborar este lindo par de zarcillos.

We’re not exactly experts in wirework here – in fact, I haven’t even tried it yet – but using the skills I do have and the materials I have at home, I try to create unique accessories, because the idea is to spark my creativity. So today, I’m sharing a tutorial for some crescent-shaped earrings made with coral beads, which turned out absolutely lovely as well as very delicate, and honestly, they’re really easy to make, so it won’t take you much time or effort to make this lovely pair of earrings.

Como les dije arriba estos aretes están elaborados con coralitos que son de mis piezas favoritas para trabajar, y es que tienen un color muy lindo y muy llamativo y están acompañados simplemente por balines medianos, y tienen forma de media luna, y en esta oportunidad decidí utilizar para ellos un pin en lugar de un gancho para la base del zarcillo como tal, ya que me pareció que se vería mucho más delicado y la verdad es que sí. De hecho, probé con ambos, y, finalmente, me decidí por el pin. Así que sin más vueltas, vamos con el paso a paso y los materiales para elaborar estos aretes, de media luna.

As I mentioned earlier, these earrings are made from small coral beads, which are my favourite materials to work with, as they have a really lovely, striking colour and are simply paired with medium-sized beads; they’re crescent-shaped, and this time I decided to use a pin instead of a hook for the base of the earring itself, as I thought it would look much more delicate – and honestly, it does. In fact, I tried both, and in the end, I went for the pin. So without further ado, let’s get on with the step-by-step guide and the materials needed to make these crescent-shaped earrings.

Paso a paso/Step by step

Estos aretes son bastante sencillos de hacer, de hecho a diferencia de todos los accesorios anteriores, este solamente va a tener una pieza que será nuestra media luna, la cual va a estar formada como ya les comenté arriba por coralitos y balines medianos. y para ello vamos a necesitar un alfiler de ojo, por el cual haremos pasar corales y balines de forma intercalada, comenzando por un coral y, seguido de un balín.

Repetimos este patrón hasta que hayamos usado 4 corales y 3 balines, lo que quiere decir que vamos a finalizar con un coralito.

These earrings are quite simple to make; in fact, unlike all the previous accessories, this one will consist of just a single piece – our crescent shape – which, as I mentioned earlier, will be formed using small beads and medium-sized beads. To do this, we’ll need an eye pin, onto which we’ll thread the beads alternately, starting with a small bead followed by a medium-sized one.

We repeat this pattern until we have used 4 small coral beads and 3 small glass beads, which means we will finish with a small coral bead.

Seguidamente cortamos el excedente y cerramos con un arito, y para ello lo que hacemos es tomar la pinza redonda y colocarla en el extremo del alfiler y girarla sobre sí misma hacia adentro para crear de esta forma un aro, ya que aunque no vamos a conectar piezas, me pareció que la forma redondeada se iba a ver muy linda, así que decidí dejarlo de esta manera.

De esta pieza, por supuesto, vamos a crear dos para nuestro par de aretes.

Next, we trim off the excess and fasten it with a small ring. To do this, we take the round-nose pliers, place them at the end of the pin and twist them inwards to form a loop. Although we aren’t actually joining any pieces together, I thought the rounded shape would look really nice, so I decided to leave it like this.

We’ll, of course, make two of these pieces for our pair of earrings.

Lo que sigue es darle la forma de media luna, cosa que hice con mis dedos, y de esta manera están listas nuestras media lunas de corales.

Next, shape them into crescents – which I did using my fingers – and that’s it: our coral crescents are ready.

El siguiente paso es conectar la media luna al pin de nuestro zarcillo, y en este punto nos debemos asegurar que el arito esté de forma vertical, y si no lo está, lo giramos con ayuda de la pinza plana, para finalmente abrirlo un poco con ayuda de la pinza redonda, pasar por el orificio de pin y cerrar.

The next step is to attach the half-moon to the pin on our earring; at this point, we must ensure that the ring is positioned vertically. If it isn’t, we turn it using the flat-nose pliers, then open it slightly with the round-nose pliers, thread it through the pin’s hole and close it.

Repetimos el proceso con la otra media luna y tenemos un par de aretes súper lindo, muy delicado, y en extremo sencillo de elaborar, así que la verdad no hay excusas para no activarnos en casita y crear nuestros accesorios, ya sea para uso personal como para la venta.

We repeat the process with the other crescent and end up with a pair of really lovely earrings – very delicate and incredibly easy to make – so there really are no excuses not to get creative at home and make our own accessories, whether for personal use or to sell.

Como pueden ver, solo se trata de ser creativos y darnos cuenta que con los mismos materiales podemos crear accesorios completamente diferentes.

As you can see, it’s simply a matter of being creative and realising that we can create completely different accessories using the same materials.
