Hoy les mostrare como hacer unos aretes bordados con mostacillas y un pompón de hilo semi-circular.
Me encantan estos zarcillos porque se ven muy exóticos y muy fáciles para combinar con distintas formas de vestir y eso siempre simplifica la vida.

Another week, another idea, and a new way to make earrings!
Today I will show you how to make embroidered earrings with beads and a semi-circular thread pompom.
I love these earrings because they look very exotic and very easy to combine with different ways of dressing and that always simplifies life.

Materiales que vamos a necesitar:

• Hilo de algodón azúl rey
• Silicón frío
• mostacillas en distintos tonos de azul
• hilo encerado
• tijeras
• aguja para bordar mostacillas
• fieltro azul

Materials we will need:

• King blue cotton thread
• Cold silicone
• beads in different shades of blue
• waxed thread
• scissors

Lo primero será hacer un círculo de un tamaño aproximado de tres centímetros. Lo puedes marcar con algún molde para coser las mostacillas dentro de él.
Vamos a coser las mostacillas con el hilo encerado para que ajuste bien nuestro centro.
Comenzaremos bordando una mostacilla al centro y luego vamos creando círculos de mostacillas a su alrededor, son siete vueltas combinando todos los colores como queramos.

The first thing to do is to make a circle of approximately three centimeters in size. You can mark it with a mold to sew the beads inside it.
We are going to sew the beads with waxed thread so that our center fits well.
We will start embroidering a bead in the center and then we will create circles of beads around it, there are seven laps combining all the colors as we want.

Recortamos del fieltro quemando con un yesquero el borde del fieltro para secar los pelitos restantes, con cuidado de no dañar el trabajo ya hecho.

We cut out the felt by burning the edge of the felt with a tinderbox to dry the remaining hairs, being careful not to damage the work already done.

Haremos un rectángulo de cartón o de plástico suave para hacer el pompón de hilo.
Tomaremos en este caso el hilo de algodón color azul. Tomaremos 15 centímetros de hilo y lo volveremos tres partes juntas y lo colocaremos en la parte de arriba del plástico.

We will make a rectangle of cardboard or soft plastic to make the yarn pompom.
In this case, we will take the blue cotton thread. We will take 15 centimeters of thread and we will turn it into three parts together and we will place it on the top of the plastic.

Luego empezaremos a enrollar el hilo azul sobre el plástico y daremos muchas vueltas para realizar el pompón. Esto nos tomará un tiempo,pero es necesario unas 300 vueltas para que que de bien lindo.

Then we will start winding the blue thread on the plastic and we will make many turns to make the pompom. This will take some time, but it takes about 300 turns to make a nice pompom.

Cuando tenemos listas las vueltas, vamos a sacar el plástico con mucho cuidado dejando el hilo de arriba. Hacemos dos nudos para que fije el pompón y no se salgan los hilos. Cortamos la parte de abajo y ya tenemos listo este paso.

When we have the turns ready, we are going to remove the plastic very carefully leaving the thread at the top. We make two knots to fix the pompom and to prevent the threads from coming out. Cut the bottom part and this step is ready.

Tomamos el círculo de mostacillas y pegáremos el pompón a la mitad.
Cuando ya esté pegado, cortaremos los hilos del tamaño que queramos y que quede bien parejito de cada lado.

Take the circle of beads and glue the pompom in the middle.
Once the pompom is glued, cut the threads to the size you want and make sure it is even on each side.

Ahora marcaremos un círculo más pequeño en el fieltro azul, y bordaremos las mostacillas para hacer el topito de nuestros zarcillos. Será como de 1.5 centímetro de diámetro, aproximadamente tres vueltas de mostacillas combinadas.

Now we will mark a smaller circle on the blue felt, and embroider the beads to make the little topito of our tendrils. It will be about 1.5 centimeters in diameter, approximately three rounds of beads combined.

Recortamos el círculo y ahora lo vamos a pegar de la semi-piel con un topito de acero para poder colgarlo en la oreja. Usamos siempre silicón frío para que nos de seguridad en el acabado.

We cut out the circle and now we are going to glue it to the semi-skin with a steel topito to be able to hang it on the ear. We always use cold silicone to ensure a secure finish.

Ya seco vamos a bordar mostacillas azul claras en el borde de topo, para que la terminación quede prolija y no se vea la pega ni nada parecido.
Los acabados son necesarios aunque a veces quisiéramos saltarlos.

Once dry, we will embroider light blue beads on the taupe border, so that the finish is neat and the glue is not visible or anything like that.
The finishing touches are necessary, although sometimes we would like to skip them.

Para unir este topo con la primera parte vamos a coser con hilo cuatros mostacillas de una lado a otro, subiendo y bajando el hilo para que queden bien asegurados.

To join this top with the first part we are going to sew with thread four beads from one side to the other, raising and lowering the thread so that they are well secured.

Terminamos con otro círculo del primer tamaño para pegarlo y tapar la parte de atrás de la parte de abajo y así terminaremos todo el trabajo con todos los detalles cubiertos.

We finish with another circle of the first size to glue and cover the back of the bottom and thus finish the whole work with all the details covered.

Repetimos todo para el segundo zarcillos y ya tenemos un par de aretes hermosos para lucir nosotras y regalar a alguien especial.

We repeat everything for the second earrings and we have a pair of beautiful earrings to wear ourselves and to give to someone special.
