Today I wanted to make a very feminine accessory, taking advantage of the fact that I was home alone, because my children all have a lot of social life and went out to have fun. But I wanted to make something that was very wearable with various garments, and I'll tell you about it.

Brooches or pins are versatile accessories that can add a touch of elegance, fun or personal style to any outfit. Sequin brooches, in particular, are an excellent option to add a touch of sparkle and glamour to your look.

In this tutorial, I will show you how to create your own sequin brooch easily and inexpensively, and as a quick option you can do it with a safety pin or pin, so you won't have to have the special brooch for this, because I think we always have a safety pin from some piece of clothing that we bought and had it extra, or have one among our sewing supplies. Saludos Hive y en especial a la Comunidad Jewelry. Hoy quería realizar un accesorio muy femenino y aprovechando que estaba solita en casa, porque mis hijos todos tienen mucha vida social y salieron a divertirse. Pero quise realizar algo que fuese muy usable con varias prendas, y ya les cuento.

Los broches o prendedores son accesorios versátiles que pueden agregar un toque de elegancia, diversión o estilo personal a cualquier outfit. Los broches de lentejuelas, en particular, son una excelente opción para añadir un toque de brillo y glamour a tu look.

En este tutorial, te mostraré cómo crear tu propio broche de lentejuelas de forma sencilla y económica, y como una opción rápida podrás hacerlo con un imperdible o alfiler, de manera que no tendrás que tener el broche especial para esto, porque creo que siempre tenemos un imperdible de alguna prenda de ropa que compramos y lo tenía adicional, o tener alguno entre nuestros insumos de costura. Así que te invito a ver este paso a paso :

The design of this brooch is a heart, which we can perfectly draw by hand. But I wanted to show you that this simple design or any other can be achieved for example with Canva App. In the "Elements" section I wrote "Vector Heart" and enlarged the drawing to the size of my cell phone screen.

Then, I placed the interfacing on top of my cell phone and with the pen I copied the drawing. You can do this with any free-to-use image bank and with any image that we have at our disposal, such as a butterfly, a ladybug, etc.

On a plate I arranged the beads and sequins that I was going to use, the latter I took from their strip.

El diseño de este Broche es un corazón, que perfectamente podemos dibujar a mano. Pero quería mostrarles que este simple diseño o cualquier otro lo puedes conseguir por ejemplo con Canva App. En la parte de "Elementos" escribí "Corazón Vector" y agrandé el dibujo hasta el tamaño de la pantalla de mi celular.

Luego, coloqué la entretela encima de mi celular y con el bolígrafo copié el dibujo. Esto lo puedes hacer con cualquier banco de imágenes de uso libre y con cualquier imagen que tengamos a nuestra disposición, como una mariposa, una mariquita, etc.

En un plato dispuse las mostacillas y las lentejuelas que iba a utilizar, estas últimas las saqué de su tira.

Using the needle and thread, I go into the design line on the interfacing, grab a sequin and a bead. Then, I go back through the same sequin hole, and this is how our first sequin is attached.

Then, right next to this first sequin, I repeat, making sure that they are close together so that there is no gap. Continue until the heart design line is complete.

Con la aguja e hilo entro en la línea del diseño en la entretela, tomo una lentejuela y una mostacilla. Luego, me regreso por el mismo orificio de la lentejuela, y así queda fijada nuestra primera lentejuela.

Luego, justo al lado de esta primera lentejuela, repito asegurándome que queden bien juntitas que no se vea separación. Continúa hasta completar la línea del diseño del corazón.

Then, I do the same on the next row, from the outside to the inside of the design, always making sure that there is no space between them.
When I finish, I cut very close to the edge, which I achieve by cutting below the first row of sequins.

Luego, hago lo mismo en la siguiente hilera, desde afuera hacia adentro del diseño y siempre asegurándome que no se vea espacio entre ellas.
Al terminar corto bien cerca del borde, esto lo logro cortando por debajo de la primera hilera de lentejuelas.

This is how the heart should look like, once it is finished with all the sequins and cut out. Now I place the heart on the piece of white foam to draw another heart that I am going to cut a little smaller than the first sequin heart.

Así debe lucir el corazón ya listo con todas las lentejuelas y cortado. Ahora ubico el corazón sobre el trozo de foami blanco para dibujar otro corazón que voy a cortar un poco más pequeño de lo que quedó este primer corazón de lentejuelas.

I draw two vertical lines as shown in the image, I fold the foam heart to cut the lines and I insert the safety pin or pin through the part where the piece to open and close is.

Now I join the back of the sequin heart with the foam heart as shown in the image. It should be noted that you must be careful not to put hot silicone on the safety pin or pin as it must be able to move freely, but both hearts must have silicone.

Dibujo dos líneas verticales como se ve en la imagen, doblo el corazón de foami para cortar las líneas e introduzco el imperdible o alfiler por la parte donde tiene la pieza para abrir y cerrar.

Ahora uno el reverso del corazón de lentejuelas con el corazón de foami como se ve en la imagen. Cabe señalar que, debes cuidar de no colocar silicón caliente en el imperdible o alfiler ya que éste debe poder moverse con libertad, lo que si debe tener silicón son ambos corazones.

Note that the white foam with the silicone gives structure and integrity to the Heart Brooch, since as you can see it is thicker and straighter, just as if it were made of another material such as the metal or acrylic bases that exist for these Brooches.

Fíjense que el foami blanco con el silicón le aporta estructura e integridad al Broche de corazón, ya que como puedes ver queda más grueso y bien derecho, tal como si fuese de otro material como son las bases de metal o acrílico que existen para estos Broches.

As I told you today I am alone at home and I didn't have my models, so I used these Canva models, and I put the image of the Sequin Brooch so you can have a reference that looks very young and fun with different outfits.
