Since my client wanted this skirt with a half-length hem after the waist, we will first cut the top piece, that is, the longest one. We will cut a rectangle of double fabric 110 cm wide x 50 cm long. The bottom piece will be cut the same width as the top piece, in this case 110 cm wide x 30 cm long + 2 cm for the hem.

The first step I took to start sewing was to sew the edge of the skirt pieces with an overlock in this case, then I proceeded to join the pieces to the top piece in white with the blue patterned piece with white moons, then I sewed the edge of my white fabric also at the same time.

I proceeded to sew the other printed piece to the top piece, and then we will join the pieces, leaving 20 cm unsewn on one side at the bottom. This is for the opening. Then we make an inward hem to create the opening.

Finally, I do the simplest step and feel the most satisfying for me: making the hem to insert the elastic at the top. Then we sew with a straight stitch and insert the elastic through there until we bring it out to the other end. Remember to do this carefully; you need a lot of patience, friends. Then we sew the elastic once we bring it out. Next, we sew the part where we left the hole to insert the elastic, I finish it with a straight stitch, and finally I make the hem of the bottom edge; this is a standard measurement (1.5-2).
