Hello everyone, it's been a while here and I am delighted to welcome you to my blog, I hope you are all doing great?
Even though I have a lot of challenges that restricted me from posting, but I am glad that I am back now.
Today I want to talk about how I sew a dolman gown for my sis, she has a party to attend, her colleague celebrated her 50th birthday together with wedding anniversary, she brought the 3 yards Ankara fabric so I could sew a simple gown for her, she didn't want to spend much on it.
Luckily, I have this green dull face at home since there is a green colour on the Ankara I used it as a front pocket and also for the band attached to the sleeve.
I already have her measurements, all I needed was to add allowance.
Bust - 39
Waist -36
Hip -45
Back -16 from shoulder to where I want the sleeve to end
This is the measurement I followed in achieving this simple dolman gown.
I cut the front pocket in two,one with the ankara and one with the dull face just to make it thicker, so I won't be needing a stay. To place the pocket I measured from her shoulder to her waist line that's where I placed it.
I did the hemming for the neck and joined the shoulder. She is not much of a picture freak but I got her to snap one.
Thanks for checking on my blog
