Cómo están todos? Yo estoy bien, estudiando demasiado porque casi todos los dias mandan algo en el liceo y hoy les quiero enseñar algo que me mandaron a hacer que es una maqueta de las partes del cuerpo pero en inglés porque es para esa materia.
Esa maqueta es en pareja y yo la hice con Nicoll que es mi mejor amiga, y yo fui el sábado pasado para su casa pero lo que comenzamos a hacer no era como una maqueta sino como una lámina en anime y la mamá de Nicoll y mi mamá dijeron que no podía ser así entonces pensamos en otra cosa y buscamos ideas por Internet y al final hicimos como una mezcla de varias que vimos, pero yo la hice con mi mamá porque ya no nos podíamos reunir otra vez y quedó bien bonita.

Ahora el paso a paso
Lo primero que yo hice fue recortar las dos muñequitas que las imprimí en cartulina, pero como no era muy dura mi mamá dijo para ponerle algo atrás y yo encontré una cartulina doble faz que ya estaba usada pero como iba por detrás y también la iba a pegar en algo eso no se iba a ver.
Entonces lo que yo hice fue que marqué con un lápiz cada muñequita y la recorté y después las pegué, pero no con pega, sino que le puse del adhesivo doble faz que es uno que pega de los dos lados y como es gordito queda un poquito separado.
Bueno, yo puse muchos sobre la muñeca de cartulina doble faz y después le pegué encima la otra que imprimí y yo hice eso con las dos muñequitas.
Ahora les voy a enseñar cómo hice la cosita donde van las muñequitas, y eso lo hice con anime, y primero marqué un círculo con un plato y después lo corté con un cortador que tiene mi mamá.
Ese anime lo tapé todo con la cartulina corrugada fucsia y lo que yo hice fue que para lo del lado corté una tira de cartulina de 1 centímetro y lo pegué por todo alrededor con silicón y después corté un círculo que también lo marqué con el plato y lo pegué arriba.
Después yo tenía que hacer una cosita para ponerla en el medio y pegar en cada lado las muñequitas y eso también lo hice con el anime y lo hice del ancho del círculo y más alto que las muñequitas y arriba le di una forma de curva que también la hice con el mismo plato.
Después que la corté tenía que taparla también y eso lo hice con una cartulina corrugada de dibujitos de flores bien bonita, y yo marqué con el anime los dos lados y después corté una tira de 1 centímetro para las orillas y pegué todo y la tapé completa.
Ahora la tenía que pegar en el círculo y yo quería ponerle nada más silicón, pero mi mamá dijo para ponerle también unos palitos de altura por si acaso, entonces metí dos y dejé una partecita afuera para enterrarla en el círculo y después le abrí unos huequitos para poder enterrarlo y le puse pega en los huequitos y en toda la parte de abajo del anime y lo pegué.
Después lo que yo hice fue pegar las muñecas en cada lado con la pistola de silicón.
Ahora yo tenía que hacer los nombres de todas las cosas y corté tiras de cartulina blanca de 1,5 centímetros y con un marcador morado hice las palabras con una letra bien bonita y las recorté una por una.
Después tenía que poner las palabras en cada parte y eso yo lo hice con palillos y primero les corté las puntas y después con la pistola de silicón pegué el papelito en el palillo y dejé una partecita del palillo que era para pegarla en donde iba cada nombre y le puse todas las cosas en las dos muñequitas, y en las partes en que el nombre iba en el medio las pegué con el adhesivo.
Ya nada más tenía que poner el nombre de Nicoll y mío y el nombre de la maqueta que iba a ir arriba, y los nombres los hice igual que los papelitos y los pegué con el adhesivo doble faz.
Después escribí Parts of the body con la misma letra pero más grande y también con morado y lo corté por la orilla haciendo como unas curvas y después pinté la orilla de rosado y le hice unos puntitos por varias partes y lo pinté de rosado.
Como esa cartulina no era muy dura mi mamá me dijo que le recortara otra con las mismas formitas pero un poquito más grande y le pinté la orilla con marcador morado y después le pegué el nombre encima con el adhesivo y después lo pegué en la parte de arriba y ya. Terminé mi maqueta que quedó bien bonita y ahora tenemos que estudiarnos lo de la defensa y ya, porque eso es para el jueves y ojalá que saquemos buena nota.

That model is a group project and I did it with Nicoll, who’s my best friend, and I went to her house last Saturday, but what we started making wasn’t really a model, more like an anime-style illustration, and Nicoll’s mum and my mum said it couldn’t be like that, so we thought of something else and looked for ideas online, and in the end we made a sort of mix of several things we’d seen, but I made it with my mum because we couldn’t meet up again, and it turned out really nice.

Now, the step-by-step guide
The first thing I did was cut out the two little dolls that I’d printed onto card, but as it wasn’t very stiff, my mum suggested putting something behind them, so I found some double-sided card that had already been used; but as it was going to be on the back and I was going to stick it onto something else, it wouldn’t be visible.
So what I did was mark each little doll with a pencil, cut them out and then stuck them on, but not with glue; instead, I used double-sided tape, which sticks on both sides, and as it’s quite thick, it leaves a little gap.
Well, I put lots of the double-sided tape on the cardboard doll and then stuck the other one I’d printed on top, and I did that with both little dolls.
Now I'm going to show you how I made the little thing where the dolls go; I made it using anime. First, I traced a circle using a plate, and then I cut it out with a cutter my mum has.
I covered the whole of that anime with the fuchsia corrugated card, and what I did was cut a 1-centimetre strip of card for the side and stuck it all the way round with silicone, and then I cut a circle, which I also traced with the plate, and stuck it on top.
Then I had to make a little piece to put in the middle and stick the little dolls on either side, and I made that out of the anime too. I made it the width of the circle and taller than the dolls, and at the top I gave it a curved shape, which I also made using the same plate.
After I'd cut it out, I had to cover it as well, so I used some lovely corrugated card with little flower designs on it. I marked both sides with a ruler, then cut a 1-centimetre strip for the edges, stuck everything down and covered it completely.
Now I had to stick it onto the circle and I just wanted to use silicone, but my mum said to put some sticks underneath it just in case, so I put two in and left a little bit sticking out to tuck into the circle, then I made some little holes so I could tuck it in, put glue in the holes and all along the bottom of the anime, and stuck it down.
Next, I stuck the dolls on either side using the hot glue gun.
Now I had to write the names of all the items, so I cut strips of white cardstock 1.5 centimetres wide and, using a purple marker, wrote the words in a really nice handwriting, then cut them out one by one.
Then I had to attach the words to each part, which I did using toothpicks. First I cut off the ends, then I used a hot glue gun to stick the little pieces of paper onto the toothpicks, leaving a small section of the toothpick free to stick onto where each name was to go, and I attached everything to the two little dolls.
All that was left was to add Nicoll’s and my name, and the name of the model that was going on top. I made the names the same way as the little pieces of paper and stuck them on with double-sided tape.
Then I wrote Parts of the body in the same font but larger, also in purple, and cut along the edge to make some curves; then I painted the edge pink and added some dots in various places, and painted it pink.
As that card wasn’t very stiff, my mum told me to cut out another one with the same shapes but a bit bigger, and I coloured the edge with a purple marker, then stuck the name on top with the sticker, and then stuck it on the top and that was it. I finished my model, which turned out really nice, and now we just have to study for the presentation, because that’s on Thursday and hopefully we’ll get a good mark.
