I'm super excited to share this DIY project with you, especially since I got to wear it to a dinner party last night and received tons of compliments!
I was getting ready for a dinner date and had my outfit all set, but I was missing one crucial piece – a white hair band to match. Instead of going shopping, I decided to make one myself. And guess what? It turned out fabulous!
Materials Used
- White fabric with a beautiful design
- White thread
- Needle
- Scissors
- White band (for the hair tie part)
Step-by-Step Guide:
Step 1
I started by cutting my fabric into a straight line. Since the fabric wasn't long enough, I had to join two pieces together. I sewed them together from the back to keep the front looking neat and pretty.
Step 2
Using my needle and thread, I carefully sewed the two fabric pieces together, making sure to leave a small space in the middle for the hair band. To ensure a clean finish, I sewed from the back.
Step 3
After sewing, I turned the fabric right side out, and it looked stunning! The design on the fabric really made it pop.
Step 4
Next, I inserted the hair band into the space I had left in the middle of the fabric. I sewed the fabric and band together to secure it in place. To finish, I cut off the excess thread with scissors.
Step 5
To complete the hair band, I sewed the two fabric ends together, making sure everything was secure. And that's it! My DIY hair band was ready to wear.
I wore my new hair band to dinner, and people loved it! I received so many compliments, and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.
