Hello estimed members of community, today am thrilled to be submitting my own project for the may contest unity in diversity.
After much consideration, I decided to come up with this craft because to me it speaks about unity. Looking at how the world is going honestly what we all need to do is to live in peace with each other no matter our differences in culture, color and so on. So here is a little explanation about my craft.
The hands painted in different colors represent our differences in colors like we all know we are speciallly created by God both as blacks White.
The globe as well represent the world which means though we are from different cultures and religion but we are one cause we live in same planet.
And lastly the flag by the side represents different countries just like we have first the Nigeria flag, Ghana, India and United States of America. Honestly I wish I can put as my flag but it's unfortunate that they are just few but all the same, I love each and every country.
So to begin with the unity craft, these were the materials I used.
*Cardboard paper
*Glue ( top bond)
*Poster color
*Note book
*Scissor
*Pencil
Firstly, i placed the cardboard on a surface and then used a round bowl to draw out a circle and two map shape with a pencil.
after drawing the circle shape I used scissor to cut out the shape which will serve as the globe
The drawing of the map inside the circle
Secondly, I started the colouring process. I used color blue as the background color and two different shades of green for the two maps. After colouring I kept it aside for it to dry.
Thirdly, I brought out the note book, cut out four pages which I will be drawing four hands with and after the drawing of the hand, I again used scissor to cut out the shape which after I coloured it with four different colors which are brown, grey, pink and burnt orange to beautify it.
Fourtly, when all the paintings were dried I used the top bond glue to glue all the hands to the globe and afterward I placed it on a white cardboard paper to serve as the base.
Fifth, When all that is done, I again tear a sheet of paper which I used to draw four different countries flags as I have mentioned earlier, accompanied with a smaller globe. I colored all the flags I drew and placed them at the side of the cardboard paper.
But then my neighbor child drew a man cause she was with me during the process and pleaded I also place it on the drawing and I obliged to make her happy and placed the man and smaller globe at the other side.
Final result
Thank you for your time, peace.
