As a shoemaker who earn and feed with his skills, satisfying my customer always at the back of my mind,if am making a footwear of a male,it is easier because male pattern are not as complex as female,female have alot of complicated pattern of footwear even clothes.
After making a nice upper for a female customer which she don't like the footwear and return the shoe complaining that she don't like the pattern I make for her with no o argument I needed to collect it back and sell it to another customer who cherish the design of the palm.
I call her to tell her how sorry I am to make a slippers that she don't already has which I needed to correct my mistakes and go through another stress to make a new design for her .
THE NEW FOOTWEAR MADE FOR UNSATISFIED CLIENT.
MATERIALS
Marko 6
wet
Black leather.
marko 4
Thick leather
THE MAKING
This particular footwear cost lesser than the first one I made for her which I buy necessary materials listed below above .
STEP ONE
We will start by cutting and making of our tie upper which we will cut a thick leather into a strap of 12cm long and 5cm width.Cut a soft black leather also in the same length and 2cm wider.apply gum to both and fold the strap together to form first strap.
REPEAT SAME PROCESS TO MAKE FOUR STRAP.
STEP TWO
We are building our insole and sole together to move an inch to the finishing of the complicated footwear.
Now we will cut our Marko 6 to client size and cut Marko 4 to wet size,apply your gum to the Marko and wet with the Marko 4 then wet it round .After wetin we will fold the wetted material with soft leather to make the insole complete.
SOLE
use the wet insole to cut out Nora to shape ,gum the two together and file the edges.
Now we will move to the lasting PART
LASTING OF THE COMPLEX DESIGN
tie the two strap made for the upper in a vertical way and hit with hammer Abit and apply gum to the edges of the upper tied and insole..repeat same process for the other pair of the footwear.bring out your wooden last and and last to insole then apply gum to both the lasted upper and sole
GUM ALL TOGETHER TO MAKE THE FOOTWEAR READY
When I show the unsatisfied customer the new design I made,she collect it with smile and add more money to the agreed price.
