Sometimes a #wristwatch looks beautiful but does not sit properly on the wrist. That was the case with these wrist watch. When worn, the chains were too loose and sagging, which affected both comfort and appearance.
Instead of taking the watch out to a repair shop, a simple DIY method was used to adjust the chain length at home.
With the help of a small pin removal device, the chain pins were carefully removed. To ensure the wristwatch stayed balanced and centered on the wrist, two chain links were removed from both side. Removing links evenly from both sides is very important so the watch face does not tilt or sit awkwardly on the hand.
After removing the extra links, the pins were carefully fixed back into place to secure the chain firmly. The result was a well fitted wristwatch that sat neatly on the wrist without sagging or slipping.
Procedure
- Place the chain properly inside the device.
- Locate the pin with the adjustable screw on the device.
- Align the chain and position the pin point exactly at the vacuum point of the device.
- Turn the adjustable screw and screw the pin toward the chain key.
- As the pin is screwed toward the chain key, it pushes the chain key outward through the vacuum.
- Once the chain key comes out, gently pull the chain out.
- Remove the pin from the device.
- Remove the chain parts or links you want to reduce from the length of the chain.
- Connect the remaining chain links together to achieve the desired shortened length of the wristwatch.
- Reinsert and secure the pin properly to lock the chain in place.
This simple DIY method helps save both time and money while delivering neat results. Instead of visiting a repair shop, you can easily purchase
a watch link remover
from an online or physical store. The tool is safe to use, user-friendly, and very easy to operate, making it ideal for quick watch adjustments at home.
