Hello Diyhubbers!! It’s been a great week, and I’m so glad that I’m back in my DIY spirit. It feels good to create whatever I want whenever I want!
The beautiful thing about making DIY crafts is that you get to use them. You can choose to wear them, flaunt them, use them to decorate your home, gift them to people, etc. The importance is endless.
Today I thought about what to decorate my space with, and I couldn’t think of anything other than a flower vase. I picked up an old flower of mine that has been lying around, and I went straight to work.
To make this beautiful flower vase, I used the following materials and followed the steps below.
Materials
Foam sheet
Popsicles sticks
Scissors
Gum
Plastic bottle
Flower
Glue
Procedure
Step 1:
I began by folding the foam sheet in two, using the popsicle sticks to mark the exact measurement, as the length would determine how big or small the flower vase is.
Step 2:
I cut out the desired length for the flower vase.
Step 3:
I applied gum to the foam sheet and placed the popsicle sticks gently on it:
Step 4:
I cut out a part of a plastic bottle as this would serve as the base of my flower vase.
Step 5:
I proceeded to use my glue to attach the foam sheet to the plastic bottle, making sure it was firm enough before leaving it.
Step 6:
I double-checked to see if everything was in place, I added some finishing touches, and Voila! My flower vase was ready.
Making this flower vase was pretty easy and I finished in record time. My advice to anyone who wishes to make this is to use the appropriate glue, as it saves a lot of stress.
What do you guys think of my flower vase, is it something you’d want to try? Would it be easy for you to make? I’d love to read your thoughts in the comment section.
