For the past two years, I've been creating designs in Canva. For those who've not used Canva, it launched in 2013. s a free-to-use online graphic design tool. Use it to create social media posts, presentations, posters, videos, logos and more. Designing 1,000 projects was hard work. However it was extremely satisfying as Canva was fun to work with in blending all my pieces together. These designs were completed for collage contest entries, as well as projects to showcase my fractal and other art images in various communities.
My favorite community is Alien Art Hive. There, my imagination can run wild. Canva assists in my efforts to bring my themes together in amazing scenes. From fantasy, to haunting, to horror, I can be assured the best quality design.
Last week I logged onto Canva, and to my surprise, flashing on the screen was a message that I had received the following badge for my design accomplishments:
My current project consists of three different art types. My inspiration was a free-sourced image I located. I was intrigued by the look of the photo, so decided to combined it with a mixture of other art pieces into a collage.
My pure fractal I created in a fractal rendering program. The final piece was a generative art piece I produced with a generative art program.
Steps to Completing My Fractal and Generative Art Project:
I love how my pure fractal art turned out. Apophysis 2.09 is a fractal rendering program. Fractal art is exquisite as the result of iterations of complex mathematical equations.
This piece I named Green Web. I rendered it with a transparent background as I knew I'd want to utilize it with out types of art.
After discovering a generative art program, Nvidia Gaugan, I've created hundreds of landscape images. The program generates photo-realistic images for clouds, water, mountains, trees, flowers, and other landscape images. By using brushstrokes to indicate the type of image you want, you control what is produced.
You can actually see the outline shape of how your mountain image will look. Once you're familiar with the colors for the various items, you can visualize the sea, rocks, and clouds (which is the gray color tool).
With the photo filtering program, Deep Dream Generator, I was able to generate with specific filter styles a nice image of the mountains that looked completely different from the original. I loved how this version turned out.
The final piece of my art project is the photo that was my inspiration. I knew the face and position of the image would be perfect to fit in front of the clouds and between the mountains. With a photo filtering program, Deep Dream Generator, I was able to add texture and depth to the image with their photo enhancement tools.
Image manipulation and enhancement:
There exist numerous programs with tools to create the perfect image you need to complete your art projects. I utilize my art projects in in contests. Other uses include showcasing the drawings together with other types of art in various communities.
Once I complete my various type art images, I then upload all into Canva. There I can blend them in whatever manner I chose to complete my fractal and generative art projects. One of the tools I like working with is the background removal feature. This feature makes layering much easier.
Below is my final project:
Thanks for taking the time to view my post. I hope you like my fractal and generative art project.
Happy rest of the week everyone with whatever your endeavors.
