espero estén disfrutando de un agradable día, el día de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una forma para reparar los tanques de agua, desde hace un tiempo, mi tanque ha estado goteando, este tanque es un poco viejo y ya tiene varias fisuras, así que decidí repararlo con la famosa pega tanque, esta tiene múltiples usos y, entre ellos reparar el plástico, aquí les dejo este sencillo proceso:

I hope you're having a pleasant day. Today I want to share with you a way to repair water tanks. For some time now, my tank has been leaking. This tank is a bit old and already has several cracks, so I decided to repair it with the famous tank glue. It has multiple uses, including repairing plastic. Here's the simple process:

sé que para muchos esto es algo ya bastante fácil de hacer, pero también hay muchas personas que aún no saben utilizar esta pega y al ver sus tanques con grietas piensan que ya no tienen reparación, para esos amigos o amigas que quieren darle una segunda oportunidad a su tanque de agua hoy quiero compartir el procedimiento para reparar este importante utensilio o cualquier otro objeto plástico que se te haya roto, aquí les dejo la lista de materiales a utilizar
- Una pega tanque, esta consta de dos componentes y tiene un costo de alrededor de cinco dólares
- lija, que no sea tan gruesa
- Un poquito de alcohol, esto es opcional
I know that for many this is already quite easy to do, but there are also many people who still don't know how to use this glue and, seeing their tanks with cracks, think they're beyond repair. For those friends who want to give their water tank a second chance, today I want to share the procedure for repairing this important item or any other plastic object that has broken. Here's the list of materials you'll need:
- Tank glue, this consists of two components and costs around five dollars
- Sandpaper, not too coarse
- A little rubbing alcohol, this is optional

Vamos a comenzar desocupando nuestro tanque, para poder manipularlo en el área donde tenga la fisura, con ayuda de una lija no tan gruesa vamos a lijar para que esta zona quede rústica, sin excedernos en la lijada, es sólo para quitar un poco lo liso, luego limpiamos bien con alcohol, o con agua, pero esperamos a que seque bien, ya que si está mojado o húmedo, la pega simplemente no servirá
En mi caso, mi tanque ya tenía pega anterior en estas fisuras, así que tuve que eliminarlas con la ayuda de un cuchillo, luego de retirarlas en mis imágenes, pueden apreciar las grietas que tiene, así que traté de lijar y limpiar bien el área dañada, Qué es justo cerca del grifo, y esto hace que bote demasiada agua.
Let's start by emptying our tank so we can work on the area with the crack. Using a fine-grit sandpaper, we'll roughen the area, being careful not to overdo it. We just need to remove some of the smoothness. Then, we'll clean it thoroughly with alcohol or water, but we have to wait until it's completely dry. If it's wet or damp, the glue simply won't work.
In my case, my tank already had glue in these cracks, so I had to remove it with a knife. After removing it, you can see the cracks in my pictures. I tried to sand and clean the damaged area well, which is right near the faucet, and this is causing it to leak too much water.
Ahora viene el proceso para preparar la pega, podemos hacerla sobre una tapa plástica, ayudándonos con dos paletas de madera, con una paleta, agarramos uno de los componentes y con la otra paleta, agarramos el otro componente, calculando de que vayan las mismas cantidades, colocamos sobre nuestra tapa plástica y unimos bien.
Es importante no ligar los ingredientes adentro del envase si nos va a quedar para guardar para que éste no se active y luego se seque, una vez unida nuestra pega vamos a aplicar sobre la superficie que ya preparamos anteriormente, esparcimos por toda el área dañada para tapar bien las fisuras y dejamos secar alrededor de 24 horas si es posible, hacemos el intento que esta lleve bastante sol.
Un tips, para poder moldear la pega, luego de haberla colocado, nos vamos a humedecer nuestros dedos y allí los vamos a pasar sobre la pega, con esto, logramos moldear la pega que quede bastante uniforme y que no se pegue a nuestros dedos.
Now comes the process for preparing the glue. We can make it on a plastic lid, using two wooden spatulas. With one spatula, we take one of the components, and with the other, we take the other component, making sure they are equal in quantity. We place them on our plastic lid and mix them well.
It's important not to mix the ingredients inside the container if we're going to store it, so it doesn't activate and dry out. Once our glue is mixed, we'll apply it to the surface we prepared earlier. We spread it over the entire damaged area to completely cover the cracks and let it dry for about 24 hours, ideally in a sunny spot.
A tip for molding the glue: after applying it, moisten your fingers and run them over the glue. This will help you mold the glue so it's fairly uniform and doesn't stick to your fingers.

Luego de todo este procedimiento ya está listo, después de esperar 24 horas podemos ya llenar nuevamente nuestro tanque de agua, actualmente estos tanques están bastante costosos, así que debemos hacer el esfuerzo por repararlos y poder seguir utilizándolos, ya que con la situación actual del agua es indispensable tener este tipo de recipientes en nuestro hogar, espero les haya servido de ayuda, eso es todo por hoy amigos, me despido, deseándoles muchas bendiciones, hasta otra oportunidad
After this entire procedure, it's ready. After waiting 24 hours, we can refill our water tank. These tanks are quite expensive these days, so we should make the effort to repair them and continue using them, since with the current water situation, it's essential to have these types of containers in our homes.
