Hello Hive
A beautiful morning to everyone on the Blockchain. It is another beautiful morning and I am here to share with us the making process of how to cut a Sew a lovely Flair skirts.
This year I have decided to try sewing some ready to wear and see if I can be able to make some bucks from the business of fashion. I want to see if I can market my passion and skill in a way that it will push my career forward.
Every business required that we give it our best shot and this is exactly what I will be doing. In order to make a beautiful outfit one has to be very diligent with every step of the making process of an outfit, from the fabric sourcing to the cutting and design we make with such fabric.
Come with me and learn how I made this pretty flair skirt for sale.
First I got this pretty fabric from the store and like I said earlier you have to be ready to purchase the best and attractive fabrics.
Having gotten this I proceeded to cut a flair folding the fabric into 4, I realized that a full flair used to be very full and not so attractive for a size 6 body shape hence I decided to make it a half flair
This is the reason for the diagonal folding
After that I cut out the waist measurement and used a length of 28" for the skirt. The length will also determines how smart the dress is. A knee length is perfect for this kind of design
Then I got an elastic band and other materials needed for sewing this skirt.
I noted the mid point of the skirt and notched it, this often helps the skirt to get a balance.
I also notched the elastic band
Once the band and the skirt are aligned together at the mid point, you can then sew and attach them together.
Since an elastic band is used, there is no need to fix a zipper for this kind of skirt. Simply join the side seams and everything will be fitted together. Remember that this is a simple skirt for size 6 that can be worn on any matching blouse of choice and with a matching color.
Having followed these steps and rules I was able to sew this pretty fitted half flair skirt. Let's see who will be lucky to rock our first design of the year and how beautiful the outcome will be on anyone.
