Someone once said, Why do I know too much about things? Growing up, I never had anything in mind until I discovered myself. Since I discovered myself as a child, I have begun to learn what I want to learn.
Honestly, it's not easy to have a vocational job you are good at. I would have really been hurt if I hadn't learned it at a younger age.
Although my parents wanted me to learn something else, I got interested in something else too.
No one really knows the advantages of having skills until you start making use of them.
I don't know it either; all I do is have an interest in something and learn it. One good thing about me is that when I'm learning something, I learn it very well.
I got the chance to learn it, and since then it has been so useful for me.
There are so many ways that these DIY tools have been useful to me.
The first one I will be talking about is how it helps with financial savings. I only learned how to repair a phone some years ago. Since then, I've been doing a lot of work for myself. For instance, last month I rented an apartment, and I fixed all the wiring in my rooms. The cost of calling people to come and fix it for me will definitely be expensive. All I did was just buy everything I needed to fix the room. Things like wire, bulbs, wall sockets, and so on. I already have all the tools to use to repair it.
Although it wasn't easy to fix everything during the day, believe me, it was worth it. When I finished the work, I did the video and snapped some pictures. I used it to create content on Hive. Believe me, if I had given this job to another person, I would have charged a lot.
Furthermore, my phone got spoiled a few weeks ago, and when I checked what I needed to use to order it, I realized how expensive the phone was. So I decided to save up for it. On that note, someone borrowed my phone for the main event. And I realized the phone was having a charging port problem. I went to Market to get the charging port panel, then fixed it with my tools. All I spent on that phone was around $3; if I had given it to someone else, I would have spent nothing less than $8, and that is expensive to me.
Having multiple skills is something that has been saving me. I cannot count how many times my skills have saved my life. This is the same skill I used to feed myself for so many years. Especially when I was at the university. People don't really know the value of having skills and tools.
I have taught a lot of people my own personal skills, and till today, they're helping them. One of my colleagues once left the country because of the tools he had and what he could do. Most times, I pity those who give their jobs to people to do. I mean, I do not expect you to know everything, but having specific skills makes a lot of sense. And you can also transfer knowledge to another skill. Of course, it might not be easy to learn. Because having skills too requires discipline and lots of consistency. All you need to do is find skills that you know you love very well. Then start doing it. And before you know it, The skill will be your limit.
