Welcome to my blog. Today i am sharing with you all how i sew a senator top for my brother.

Here is my first try in sewing a senator top. I have downloaded so many videos on YouTube and learn how to cut a senator top, so today i desired to give a try to it. Just to see if i can do it my self, all glory to God i was been able to vome out with something positive although i was not too perfect since i am learning.

I am planning for my daughter delication next month, therefore i am arranging cloth i am my brother will where to the locations.

I have give tailor my clothes to sew for me about four times and the keep on spoiling it so i determine not to give anyone my cloth and choose to do it my self.

That was the main reason i choose to learn it my self, therefore i choose to give a try and it really go well, new post i will update my own i sew for my self.

** Let see some steps i follow to sew a senator top**

Firstly i took him some measurements which includes

• shoulder
• arm
• chest
• full length
• round neck measurements. Etc.

The front

I folded the material into two, to the measurements of the chest divided by 4 places pluse 2 inches sewing allowers and then mark out the full length of the dress pulse 3inches bending allowers

After marking it, i then use scissors to cut the front out.

The back

I folded the material into too.
Here in the back i added many things, for the length, i added 4 inches to the full length including the bending allowers. Then for the width, i added extra 2 inches to it for the back center bending.
Then i cut it out.

Before i proceed to cut out the shoulder, ham hole, and the round neck, i first use a sewing machine to sew the center back measurement to make the front and the back width to be the same.

After bending it, i then place the front on top of the back and then align it at the top edge, i the slite the shoulder my 1 inches.

Then cut it out, after cutting it out, since the back is longer than the front, i then pull the front to be the same at the bottom, then fold the back top to meet the top at 1inches and then clip it to stand

I then measure out the shoulder and the cut the ham hole , see photo below.

After then, i round the neck to the measurements i want.

Then cut it out, see photo below.

Here is the back and front

After that i then sew a band for both the back and front

I then cut the hand, and bend the adge. Then join the sholder and the hand to the ham hole. See photo below.

I then pipe the neck.

After piping the round neck , i then joint the body, here is the outcome of it.

Hope i try, i have learned many things and i know my next try will be better than this. Rate me work.
