Me encanta esta iniciativa pues para mí las mascotas son parte de la familia y cuando tenemos en el hogar esos peluditos de verdad que los amamos, en casa teníamos dos una meztiza llamada Queen que además de la reina era nuestra guardiana, lamentablemente la perdimos hace pocos dias y todavía no lo aceptamos pero fue asi, nos queda nuestra pequeña Alaska una poodle que nos deleita con sus travesuras y nos carga a todos de cabeza porque combina mimos con travesuras y ya pueden imaginarse, para ella elaboré un bonito Sombrero Pava y aqui les dejo el paso a paso que los invito a seguir leyendo para que vean cómo lo hice:

I love this initiative because, for me, pets are part of the family, and when we have those furry friends at home, we truly love them. At home, we had two: a mixed breed named Queen who, besides being our queen, was also our guardian. Sadly, we lost her a few days ago, and we still haven't accepted it, but it's true. PARA REALIZAR ESTE HERMOSO SOMBRERO QUE LUCIRÁ LA BELLA ALASKITA USÉ ÉSTOS MATERIALES:
✓ Cincuenta centímetros de tela estampada.
✓ Cincuenta centímetros de tela para forro color lila.
✓ Dos metros de cinta vies color lila.
✓ Un metro de cinta vies color azul.
✓ Diez centímetros de pelon para armar.
✓ Hilo lila.
✓ Hilo azul.
✓ Tijeras.
✓ Regla.
✓ Aguja.
To make this beautiful hat for the lovely Alaska, I used these materials:
✓ Fifty centimeters of printed fabric.
✓ Fifty centimeters of lilac lining fabric.
✓ Two meters of lilac bias tape.
✓ One meter of blue bias tape.
✓ Ten centimeters of interfacing.
✓ Lilac thread.
✓ Blue thread.
✓ Scissors.
✓ Ruler.

PROCEDIMIENTO PARA ELABORAR ESTE SOMBRERO.
Voy a comenzar el proceso ocupando las telas y no les parezca raro este paso donde los patrones que use fueron un platito mediano y una tapita plástica de un envase de mantequilla pues tenian la medidas perfectas para la cabeza de mi Alaskita.
Abro las telas, y las coloco una arriba de la otra pongo el plato encima y marco la circunferencia con un lápiz, ahora uso las tijeras y corto, de esta manera como muestro.
PROCEDURE FOR MAKING THIS HAT.
I'm going to start the process by using the fabrics, and don't be surprised at this step. The patterns I used were a medium-sized plate and a plastic lid from a butter container, as they were the perfect size for my little Alaska's head.
I unfold the fabrics and place them one on top of the other. I put the plate on top and trace the circumference with a pencil. Now I use scissors and cut it out, as shown.
Realizado este paso , ahora junto las dos telas uso la aguja y el hilo y cosi por toda la orilla, pongo la tapita plástica en el centro y mido con la regla cuatro centímetros hacia afuera que sera la medida del ala del sombrero, marco con el lápiz y uso de nuevo la aguja y el hilo para coser por la orilla del círculo antes de cortar, corto y va quedando de esta manera:
Having completed this step, I now join the two fabrics, use the needle and thread, and sew all around the edge. I place the plastic lid in the center and measure four centimeters outwards with the ruler, which will be the measurement of the hat's brim. I mark it with the pencil and again use the needle and thread to sew along the edge of the circle before cutting. I cut it, and it looks like this:
A continuación uso la cinta vies azul y la coso por toda la orilla del ala del sombrero, esto es con la finalidad de darle cuerpo y que se sostenga firme.
Next, I use the blue bias tape and sew it all around the edge of the hat's brim; this is to give it body and make it stand upright.
En este paso voy hacer la copa del sombrero; aquí voy a usar pelón blanco, aunque el color no es importante ya que se va a forrar con la tela, en una medida de ocho centímetros de largo por seis de ancho corto haciendo unas curvas a ambos lados, despues procedo a forrar.
Ya tengo listo este paso y ahora doblo a la mitad el ala del sombrero y hago un pequeño piquete arriba y uno en la parte de abajo para marcar que la medida sea exacto, igual hago con la pieza de la copa y usando de nuevo el hilo y la aguja procedo a pegar como se ve.
Una vez que uno la copa con el ala ahora voy a darle el toque de elegancia, usando la cinta vies de raso color lila decoro toda la orilla del ala y en el centro donde va la copa, luego viene el toque de coquetería y para ello elaboro un lindo lazo con la misma cinta morada este lo coloco en la parte trasera de la copa para este acabado.
Once I've attached the cup to the brim, I'm going to add a touch of elegance. Using lilac satin bias tape, I decorate the entire edge of the brim and the center where the cup goes. Then comes the touch of coquetry, and for this, I make a pretty bow with the same purple ribbon and place it on the back of the cup for this finishing touch.
