Hello DIYers! I'm back with another easy plumbing fix today because the rod that opens and closes the bathroom sink stopper came detached from the mechanism underneath the sink and so it wouldn't work. But it's easy to fix, so let's get to it!

When it's come undone, look underneath the sink and you should see something like this. That metal rod hanging straight down and the metal part that is flopped over to the side are what need to come together.

So you slide the rod into the holes at the top of the wider metal part, and turn that screw (it has a tab so you can do it with your fingers and don't need a screwdriver) that holds them in place to make it stay put. Now you see why it's so easy to pull out - it's literally just held in place by tension from that screw pressing on it.

And that's it! Now it works, I can open and shut the stopper from the top again. Told you it was easy! :)
