Hello, beautiful people all over the world! Welcome to the DIY community, a community that allows people to show their art and craft skills and also to learn from different people from different countries.
Happy World Environmental Day to you, and I will be making a beautiful tree full of leaves for my entry to the World Environmental Day contest.
The main reason why I chose to make trees for this contest is because of their importance in the ecosystem, and one of them is every human need. Trees give oxygen, and that alone speaks about how essential they are to us and all other living organisms.
Materials are:
Paper
Gum
Watercolor
Pen
Cardboard
Broom stick
Carton
Scissors
Process
I tore some sheets of paper, then placed a broomstick at the edge and rolled it down to the other edge.
I made use of another broomstick to apply gum at the edge to hold the paper down.
I rolled the pieces I needed, then applied gum to each of them and placed them together to form the tree body.
I set it aside to dry while I continued with some other things.
I made use of a pen to draw an oval shape on the cardboard.
Then I made use of scissors to cut them out, then I made use of watercolor to paint everything green, and then I set them aside to dry.
The tree shape was already dry, so I also made use of the watercolor to paint it a brown color.
I folded the upper side of it to form the branches, then twisted the lower part to form the roots.
I applied gum to the carton, then placed the tree shape on it. I applied gum to the roots, then pressed them down to the gum on the carton.
After that, I made use of the watercolor to paint the carton again in blue.
Now it was time to place the leaves on the tree. I applied gum to each oval shape and then placed them on each branch of the tree.
The tree is ready for the contest now, and I hope you love it.
