Do you recall how we ripped out the laundry to make one big room, and then took out the external door and window to create a cupboard that contained the washing machine? Finalllllly yesterday the double glazed window arrived for the space, replacing the window we were using temporarily. I love it. It lets in lots of winter light and there's a view of the trees. It's dramatic and large and beautiful.

My Dad always said there should be a view of the garden or nature from every room. We're trying. We are yet to do the kitchen window (it feels dark in there) which will complete the look, but at least we have this one. The surround is yet to be done here. As I write this at work, Jamie's gone home early and might have got it done so I'll update it if so.

Now it's winter and the northern sun is lower in the sky the light streams through all over the kitchen. Just so warming and yellow and gorgeous.

Only problem with that of course is that one does need to clean the window properly. Dammit.

Look at the lovely glow of that winter sun a'risin'. The house next door is a nice house as far as houses go and it's not bad to look at, but you only see it from a certain angle and most of the time you only look out to the trees, the stars, the clouds, cockatoos.

Meanwhile

I've been sitting here on and off trying to create a Hive Account to a community I'd like to start. No go. If I can't do it easily, imagine how hard it is for other that aren't that Hive savvy! What the actual.

Anyway the sun is shining on me and the washing so I suppose it can't be so bad.

I'll keep you posted about it anyway. I do like giving back to Hive where I can.

The moon is often visible from my window, which I find just amazing. Who needs a view of the sea when the sky can be more fascinating? Did you know the pink moon is the big easter moon?
