¡Hola, amigos de DIYHub! Les saludo gratamente y me preparo para compartir con ustedes una manualidad muy sencilla, pero a la vez muy bonita, ideal para hacer con los más pequeños de la casa. Se trata de un adorno de hongo con bombillos reciclados y muy pocos materiales. Veamos los materiales y el paso a paso.
We will need / Vamos a necesitar:
- Recycled light bulbs / Bombillos reciclados
- Paints and paintbrushes / Pinturas y Pincel
- Liquid silicone / Silicón líquido
- Plastic bottle caps / Tapas de botellas plásticas
We start by separating the light bulb into two parts. In this case, I am using plastic LED light bulbs that no longer works. Next, we use a utility knife to remove the excess edges from both pieces, as shown in the image.
Iniciamos separando en dos partes el bombillo, que en este caso estoy utilizando bombillos led de plástico que ya no funcionan. Posteriormente retiramos con la ayuda de un cúter los bordes excedentes de ambas piezas como vemos en la imagen.
We will take the spherical part and give it a coat of white paint. This will serve as a base so that the piece will better absorb the next coat of paint in the selected color.
Vamos a tomar la parte esférica y le vamos a dar una capa de pintura blanca, esto nos servirá como base para que posteriormente la pieza agarre mejor la siguiente capa de pintura del color seleccionado.
Once the white paint is dry, we will paint with the color of our choice. In this case, I chose a pink color that I had on hand at the time. We will apply several coats if necessary.
Una vez seca la pintura blanca vamos a pintar con el color seleccionado según nuestra preferencia, en este caso escogí un color rosa que tenía a la mano al momento. Vamos a dar varias capas si es necesario.
Now, using a cotton swab, we will make white circular marks on the spherical piece to achieve the desired mushroom appearance.
Ahora con la ayuda de un cotonete vamos a hacer unas pintas blancas en forma de círculos sobre la pieza esférica para logara la apariencia de hongo deseada.
It's time to work on the other piece that will serve as the stem of our mushroom. For this, I mixed white and brown paints to achieve a cream color. Apply several coats if necessary until it is well covered.
Es hora de trabajar con la otra pieza que servirá con tallo de nuestro hongo. Par esto hice una mezcla de colores con blanco y marrón para logar una tonalidad crema. Damos varias capas si es necesario hasta que cubra bien.
To make the piece taller, we will use two soda bottle caps, one on top of the other, and glue them together with liquid or stick silicone, as shown in the image.
Para que la pieza sea más alta vamos a utilizar dos tapas de refrescos, una sobre otra y pegamos con la ayuda de silicón liquido o en barra, como vemos en la imagen.
Once both pieces are painted and dry, all that remains is to place the sphere on the stem and glue it with silicone to create our mushroom decoration.
Ya que tengamos las dos piezas pintadas y secas solo resta colocar la esfera sobre el tallo y pegar con silicón para obtener nuestro adorno de hongo.
